Harris-
I combed over my blonde hair adjusting it to fit uniform regulations. I've only just begun my work in the army in Cavalry warfare. So I'm not looking to get on the colonel's bad side yet. The navy is coming over in less than a week to help the newbies with their basic training and I've been assigned to help them out. I've been in their spot of feeling hopeless and not ready to be basic for two months. My girlfriend at the time dumped me and moved on within a day. Highschool relationships don't ever work if you ask me none the less I tried to date as much as i could in my senior year because of the fact of me being trapped for two months without my phone. I look around at the mess of people scrambling to get the base looking presentable for the Navy to join us for three weeks. I don't even know why we're trying to look nice when you know that the ship's bathroom is going to smell awful by the time they find themselves docked here. I find myself hiding out in the barracks for a moment of rest pulling out a book to read. My parents have been sending me books since I've moved here so I can keep occupied. I got into the habit of writing letters to my family and friends back in my hometown of New Orleans. Instead of heading here right after graduation I spent a gap year working to get everything set for me to begin my work in the army. It's starting to darken outside so I lay down getting ready to drift off to sleep.
Timeskip-
The next morning was all a rush in getting things ordered and getting sleeping quarters ready for the Navy. I gel my hair up so I look presentable and instead of our work uniform we all decided on going formal. Gotta suck up so that we win branch of the year. Of course Airforce always butts in and wins anyways. I've talked to the airforce a handful of times. When paratrooping is needed and in highschool when i was surrounded by recruiters. I had been in the football team and my strength had them surrounding me begging me to join "their branch" instead of the others. I got a text...
Colonel: The boat just left the dock. On the way to us get your ass out of there pretty boy.
I make my way out blushing slightly at the pretty boy comment. Girls have always said I was a pretty guy. I have short blonde hair and blue eyes. Tattoos run down my arms and back. I personally like the way I look except for the way my pale skin burns up in the daylight
