felix's pov
i wake up to the time being 5:43. my shift today starts at 8. i get up and go to the bathroom. i brushed my teeth aswell as my hair, put on some jeans and a black shirt whilst spritzing some cologne on my wrists.
i go on my phone, and change the contact name of the customer to "hyunjin - my customer ✌🏼✌🏼" and decide to make myself some pancakes before i have to work my shift.
time skip - 2 hours later
i check my watch, and notice it is 7:32. "i have to get going.." i thought to myself. i put on my shoes, lock the door, and leave the apartment. i walk block through block, until i reach the cafe. with one of the keys i have, i unlock the cafe door, flip the "closed" sign to open, and turn the lights on.
i wouldn't say my business is a fail, as i get roughly about 60 - 80 customers a day.
there is only a few that come often though.
i then see a customer come in. i don't know why, but i was kinda hoping it was hyunjin.
"hello! what would you like to order today?" i said with a slight grin.
"a cappuccino, please."
"alright, will that be it for today?"
"mhm."
i made the person the cappuccino, and soon enough, the cafe was empty again. huh, i usually am never this empty.. maybe everyone is working?
time skip - 5 hours - 1 pm
i got about roughly 17 customers today. although, i'm not suprised. sundays are when i usually get fewer customers due to people's schedules. i then see someone walk in. it's.. hyunjin!
uh, sorry.. i don't know why i'm acting like this..
i smiled gently when he had walked up to the counter and said "hi, felix :)"
"hello, hyunjin. how are you?"
"i'm good ..! now, can i get a pumpkin spice latte?"
"again? alright!" i said
"yeah. i love those!!"
i had made him his pumpkin spice latte, and gave it to him. he had then sat down, opened his computer and had started to aggressively type something out.
"what are you doing?" i said with a genuinely concerned tone.
"just a study guide that the teacher had assigned. it's annoying, but helpful."
"did you get enough sleep last night?" i said
"eh, not the best, i obviously could've gotten more rest, but just enough to keep me going today." he said while looking at me and back to his computer.
"i can't believe your older than me, but study way more than i do." i said while smirking.
"yeah, we'll just so you know, next year is gonna be harder .."
"actually, maybe your just a little dumb :)" i said with a teasing tone
"hey.."
"lol, i'm just kidding, don't take it to heart"
"hey, uh, can you help me with this problem?"
"yeah, sure! what problem is it? bring the computer over here."
we had then talked and reviewed about his work. sometimes customers came in, and he would just wait on the side. i'm happy i'm getting money whilst also helping someone.. my.. friend.
time skip - 5 hours later - 7:30
alright, hyunjin, i think it's enough studying for today. go home and rest, okay?
"thank you felix!" he said while slightly bowing.
"what's your schedule? i'll make memorize it so i know when i can come!"
i told him my schedule, and then he left. i had taken my barista apron off, turned the lights off, locked the door, and left the cafe.
i was checking my phone when i got a notification saying
"hey, did you get home safe?"
it was from hyunjin.
i had then wrote
"nah, but i'll be home soon 🏡"
"alright. when you get home, do you want to call and help with my homework? 😔"
"ayh, hyunjin, you should've done it over the weekend! oh, wait.. i forgot my homework too.."
"mm, yeah. 🙄"
time skip - 30 minutes later
hyunjins pov
i had walked one dog for 12 dollars, and then went home. i had locked the door, and then got into my pjs. i then heard a vibration coming from my phone.
"hey, hyunjin? do you want to call to do homework now?"
i then called him, and we had talked for hours, not realizing school was tomorrow. we had talked about our homework, and surprisingly his homework looked way harder than mine, which is surprising because, well, he's younger than me by a year.
"hey, hyunjin, we both better get going to bed, we have school tomorrow, remember?" he said
"alright, goodnight felix."
"goodnight" he said with a smile, and then he hung up.
