Those Nights With Rainbow

The First Night

"WHAT!!?..." She yelled, making you wince. Even Twilight's ears fell back, reacting to the loud voice of the colorful pony.

"What do you mean me!??.." Dash lifted her hoove, poking her chest with it.

Twilight looked at Rainbow Dash, giving her a reassuring smile, though it looked more nervous than confident, "I know, I know. Look, it's only for a week! Just hold onto him for seven days! Maybe even less.."
Twilight circled her hoove in the air, pointing at you.
"Besides, Y/N would be a good helper! He can cook, clean, and even help you around doing some chores. That's...something you need anyway."

Twilight chuckled but quickly cleared her throat after realizing Dash wasn't returning the same energy.
The mare had a nasty frown, her right eye almost twitching. "Ugh...so a maid?? You're giving me a maid..." she huffed, rolling her eyes.
"I don't even have a second bed! My guest rooms are filled with stuff!"

Using her magic, Twilight moved a couple of books around, putting them a separate book shelves, "filled with stuff..? But why?" Twilight tilted her head, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh! I don't know...maybe because-..I DON'T HAVE ANYPONY OVER!!" Dash yells yet again, a crack in between her words.

Twilight sighs, turning back toward you and Dash, "Please, Rainbow Dash? I know I'm asking too much. But Y/N doesn't have anywhere else to go. Applejack is out of town, Fluttershy is too kind, Pinkiepie is most likely going to turn Y/N into a diabetic, and Rarity...well...we both know how she is."

Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight, then at you for a short second, "but-...what about you??"

Twilight looked a bit surprised, "me? Well, I already have a roommate! Plus, Y/N has told me so many good things about you! Like how out of all the ponies, you're the coolest! And I mean...he isn't wrong, right?" Twilight smiled.

You don't remember saying anything to Twilight about Dash. And if you're honest, Rainbow Dash is the least pony you know of. However, you notice Rainbow perk her ears up, her eyes slightly widened.

"Just for a week, please..? For me?" Twilight flapped her wings a bit, shooting Dash the widest smile that even you could feel the cramp.

With a stomp of a hoove, Dash groaned loudly, "fiiinnnne! But only for a week! Afterward, he's straight out the door! Hmph!" With that, Dash galloped off, but not before shooting you an ugly look, huffing as she passed.

Now you're just left inside the room with Twilight, who looks at you.

"I...I didn't say any of those things," you finally spoke. "I don't even know her personally!"

Twilight walked around the table, stopping right in front of you, "Yeah, I know you didn't. But that was the only way to get her to agree. Listen, between you and me, I wouldn't get on her bad side. She can be...a bit of a hothead," Twilight explained.

"Just, get on her good side, alright? You also said you didn't know her, so what a better time than now! You two will know each other in no time!"

Even after that, you still weren't yet so convinced, "I don't know...she seriously doesn't want me at her place. I'm afraid I won't be seen again if I make a wrong move!" You continued to explain.

"Oh nonsense! Rainbow isn't capable of such thing!....well...I think!" Twilight gently nudged you with her hoove, giving you a smile. "It'll only be a week. What possibly could happen in a week? You got this Y/N! I believe in ya!"

Twilight saluted you...for some reason.

Well..here goes nothing.

Before you could walk off, Twilight gave you one last piece of advice.
"Oh, and before I forget. You want to make her like you, no? Make her talk about herself and complement her! Trust me, she likes that! Good luck!" Twilight waved as you marched out the door, letting out a sigh.
