Mission - 2

The lights were blinding, making his eyes hurt. Still, he tried to slowly open his eyes.

"Ah, he's waking up."

A female's voice.. Who? Where?

Naruto groaned as he tried to get up from the bed. His head was still very much in a daze and not to mention, he felt tingly.

Tingly as in he wanted to be touched. He wanted to be caressed. Even the soft bedsheet felt rough on his sensitive skin. Though he wouldn't want to admit it.

"Tsk. Be good and just lay down." someone said with a somewhat cold and harsh tone.

Naruto's attempt to at least sit up was stopped with a hand on his shoulder, pushing him back down onto the bed rather hardly.

"Sasuke" Sakura shot a look, displaying her disapproval of Sasuke's voice tone and manner.

For a short moment, the pink haired female saw Sasuke about to bare his fangs towards her, but instead he simply sighed before turning to look back towards the man on the bed.

He almost flinched when he caught the omega's eyes wide open staring at him. And Sakura of course. He couldn't be thinking he's the only one Naruto was looking at. No way.

Or so he thought.

"Alpha." Naruto muttered out, instinctively. His voice was close to that of a desperate, airy moan.

Sweet pheromones were becoming thick in the room and it was drugging Sasuke, making a low growl subconciously escaped his mouth.

Thank goodness Sasuke always take his suppressants properly.

It shook the two who were each sitting beside the bed he was lying on, their mouth slightly gaped - speechless. Seeing their reaction made Naruto almost immediately came upon the realization of what he had just done.

He just cried out a mating call to Sasuke; a green light for the alpha to breed.

To satisfy him with his mighty alpha's knot.

"I- I mean, the scroll! THe scrOll, how did it go?" he cracked out, barely managed to form any words due to the embarrassment.

Based on how the other two were so carefree to even sit in the infirmary room with him, the situation had probably been taken care of. It was obvious and he should have been able to tell from the very beginning he had gained conciousness.

The heat messing with his head was another thing though.

His skin was already flushed from the heat, and the awkward situation turned him redder than he had already been, if that was even possible.

The world was spiralling the more his hands gestured frantically in the air. He forced a silly laugh in hope of covering his stupid mistake.

Who would blame him? He basically just asked to be fucked by someone who's not in a romantic relationship with him.

And to make it worse, that person just have to be Sasuke. That Sasuke.

"..the dumbass broke himself. There's smoke coming out of his head" Sasuke may have rolled his eyes, but there's a hint of thrill, despite trying not to take the omega's words seriously.

That's just his heat talking, not him. He's not in his right mind. Sasuke reminded himself over and over again in his head.

Not long after, someone opened the door to the room. It was Kakashi.

"Is he awa- what in the omega scent is this?" he paused in his tracks for a bit before continued walking in. He left the door wide and went to draw the curtain open, giving way for ventilation.

Sakura, on the other hand, had been spraying a scent-neutralizer fluid for quiet a while.

"Now, chill down, omega. Unless, you want to intoxicate that young alpha of yours."

"Sensei, he's not- ugh, anyways. What is it?" Naruto gave up trying to make a come back to Kakashi's teasing and went straight to the point instead.

"I assumed you must already know of what I've come to talk to you about." Kakashi took a chair beside the bed, sitting down after finishing his words.

Naruto nodded in a pitiful manner. A bit too obedient, too. This time, he really did sit up from the bed, not wanting to be rude. Kakashi let him.

"Protocol." the older man said, his tone was serious. The voice sounding of professionalism.

It was as if the room was suddenly swept by something, making the atmosphere changed drastically.

"Mm" Naruto made a sound of compliance, his lower lips slightly pouting and his eyebrows slightly scrunched.

"You know that omegas who experience sudden heat during a mission should return to the headquarter right away, correct?"

"Yes, sir."

"Given the protocol saying so, what did you do instead?"

"I.. I hesitated and got caught."

"Exactly." the older man sounded firm.

Alphas had always been domineering and everyone knows that. Sasuke could be domineering sometimes. Kakashi though, was even domineering more than him.

Compared to Kakashi, Sasuke is still in his early 20s. The younger alpha still have a lot of developing to be done for his secondary gender.

To grow to be a mature alpha; to be just like the older man in the same room as them right that moment.

Only in the aspect of secondary gender though. Sasuke isn't a fan of Kakashi.

"Let me ask you one thing, Naruto. Do you regret it?" Kakashi threw him the question with a type of look in his eyes.

Naruto couldn't figure out that look he gave away, but he responded honestly after a short time.

"I don't. I believe I did the right thing."

Naruto gripped the blanket in his hands into a fistful, his face showing determination.

There was a pause and never once did Naruto falter.

"Pfft. Of course." Kakashi puffed out a light chuckles as if he had already expected it.

"The protocol. It's there for a reason, but, there has always been a blurry line to it. You're not right, nor you're wrong. However, it was also thanks to you that the outcome from the mission turned out to be favourable. So, great job, omega." he added.

A large hand landed on Naruto's head before he earned a petting from the older alpha. The omega's mouth turned into a smile, clearly enjoying the headpat and praises.

"Oof, see you guys later. I have to go back. Sakura, you have to follow me though. Lady Hokage wants to see you" Kakashi stood up from the chair and turned towards the door. A relax hand waving in the air.

"Ah, also. Talk it out with your little alpha. He almost ripped the bodyguard's head off back in the forest." Kakashi said before leaving the room with Sakura.

Dumbfounded, that piece of information from Kakashi made Naruto turned his head towards Sasuke.

Sasuke was crossing his arms, his gaze away from Naruto. He gave off this certain bitchy vibe.

Plus, his silence answered it all.

"Yikes." Naruto couldn't help gulping in disbelief.
