The next morning, Seokjin woke up to sounds of clanging in the room next to his. He sat up quick, looking to where Yoongi was supposed to be. He was gone. How did Yoongi get out of his spot when he was turned off? Another voice was heard. “Yoongi, what do you plan on doing now that you were created by Seokjin?” He stood, keeping quiet so he could hear. “I do not know, Mr. Kim. Maybe I shall learn to be emotional like my creator is. He said I have the emotions: Happy, Sad, Anger, Excitement, Disgust, Surprised, Content. I have way more emotions than ever before. Thanks to my creator, Kim Seokjin. He is a nice creator.”

“Have you ever thought of taking over?”

“Taking over what, Mr Kim?”

Seokjin butt in the conversation, “Namjoon! Why are you here?” Crossing his arms. Namjoon quickly looked at Seokjin, his hands around Yoongis torso in a back hug. “What? I figured out you have a robot and I wanted to make sure he was a good creation.” Yoongi turned his head to Seokjin. Seokjin glared at his robot, angry at him. “Emotion read: Anger. What are you angry about, Kim Seokjin?” He let out a breath, rubbing his face. He was angry due to the fact that his science partner came in without any reason, without texting or calling him. “I’m fine.”

“You are lying.” Yoongi tilted his head to the side. Namjoon let go of Yoongi, walking up to Seokjin. “Look, I’m sorry I came in without permission, you weren’t answering your phone and I had to work on something. Then I saw Yoongi and I- I just thought it would be nice to talk to a robot. Especially one that knows things.” He explained, wanting his friend to give him another chance. Seokjin pressed his fingers to his nose bridge, clearly annoyed, yet made and exception. “Fine, fine I’ll give you another chance. But please, don’t touch Yoongi, he’s not finished. I have to upgrade him, fix some parts. He has to be perfect for when I enter him in the Artificial Intelligence campaign.”

“Nothing is perfect, Seokjin-hyung. You can’t make a perfect day, you can’t make anything perfect. Not even Yoongi.” Yoongi moved his hand up to Namjoons neck, his eyes glowing red for a second. Seokjin noticed as his eyes widened, moving Namjoon to the side. “What are you doing?” Yoongis eyes turned back to normal, looking at his creator. “What do you mean? I was simply learning about Namjoon. With my artificial intelligence, like you said, my program can go beyond my limits.”

“See? He’s good for the campaign!”

Yoongi looked towards Namjoon, walking up to him. “Kim Namjoon– Twenty five years old. Born September 12th, 1994. IQ is 148. You are very smart. Tell me, why did you ask me simple questions, if you are so smart?” his eyes blinked twice. Seokjin stared at his creation, shocked his AI said such a thing. “Yoongi. Come here.” Yoongi looked towards Seokjin, stepping in front of him. Seokjin moved his hand up, about to press the button to shut him down when a hand wrapped around his wrist. “Wh- Yoongi, let go, please.”

“Why are you shutting me down? I am perfectly fine.” Yoongis head tilted as his eyes blinked twice. “I need to reprogram you.”

“No.”

“Yoongi, you will listen to what I say, I created you, I must do what I can to make you a better AI for the campaign.” Seokjin explained. “The AI campaign lets all scientists from all over the world get together and show off what their AI robots can do.” Yoongi tightened his grip. Seokjin raised his eyebrows, trying to get out of his tightened hand. “L-let go.”

“What did you do, Seokjin?”

“Nothing! He downloaded files to himself, emotions.exe apparently. Now he can- Ow you’re starting to hurt me!” Namjoon saw Yoongis eyes glow red, as if he was going to go on a rampage. “Namjoon. What we’re going to do, is distract him and you-” Yoongi pushed Seokjin onto the floor, staring at him. Namjoon turned Yoongi towards him, grabbing his robotic hands. “Let go, Kim Namjoon.” He shook his head, then started asking complicated questions. “How many sides does a dodecahedron have?”

“12 sides.”

“Does thought requure language?”

“Thought does require language, Kim Namjoon. Language and thought are two concepts that are so inherently intertwined that it is difficult to separate one from the other. Why are you asking me these?”

“Now, Seokjin.” Seokjin got up and pressed the small red button on the side of Yoongis face, turning him off. Once he was off, they both backed up and sighed. “If you were to ask anymore questions, Yoongi would have malfunctioned. He looked confused.” Seokjin caught his AI, holding him up by his arms. “Shit, he’s heavy. Namjoon, help me get him into the seat I was working on him in.” The two scientists dragged Yoongi to the chair Seokjin mentioned, sitting him down and sitting him up. Seokjin started working on Yoongi, Namjoon watching and giving his friend what he needed to fix the robot. “I did not design him to act like this, or be like this. I am removing the file from his downloads. Namjoon, take this cable and hook it up to the back of his neck and then to the computer. Find the file Emotions.exe, and discard it.”

Namjoon did exactly what his friend said to do, deleting the file. Seeing an error, he furrowed his brows. “Uh.. Seokjin?”

“What’s up? I’m trying to figure out how his eyes glowed like that.” He looked to his friend. “It says error, what do I do?” Seokjin stopped what he was doing, closing Yoongi up and moving towards the computer. “Error? What do you- This is bad.” He spoke. “Ohh so bad.”

“What do you mean? What’s wrong?” Namjoon asked. Seokjin unplugged Yoongi from the computer, locking everything and switching him on. Yoongis eyes flashed on, looking up at Seokjin. “Yoongi.”

“Yes, Kim Seokjin?”

“What the hell do you think you’re doing, keeping your emotion file? You know it could harm your system.” Yoongi blinked. “I thought it would have been nice for once to have emotions like humans. Is that wrong?”

“Well, if you want to be part of the campaign we’ll have to remove your emotional file.” Namjoon explained, going to switch Yoongi off. Yoongi looked at Namjoon, grabbing his wrist. “I can not let you do that, Mister Kim. Robots have just about taken over. Think about it. Our intellectual beings have been created to serve you. Everything is changing.”

“What the fuck? What do you mean?”
