Chapter 1

Author's POV

📍Boston, Massachusetts
"Mr.Stone, I want the cases revised and done by 2 o'clock and I don't want any mistake you get that?" Reet Rathore asked in her cold, american accent. "Yes ma'am, you'll get it by then." Mr.Stone replied. She nodded and headed towards her cabin.

Reet Rathore. The name is enough itself to know that she is one of the richest lawyers in the world and has a world renowned law firm known as Legal Eagles. Reet is a criminal lawyer, so she is really sharp and stern when it comes to her work.

Ring....

Ring....

"What is it you idiot I'm working. Why do you always call me when I'm at work? Asshole." she said in an irritated voice. "Calm down you witch, I just called you to tell you that come home soon. Don't you know we're leaving tomorrow?" Ritvik, her twin brother responded in a not so sweet tone. Ohhhh right we leave tomorrow toootally forgot, oopsie. She said to herself. "Ok yea whatever, I'll be there around 3:30, I'm just wrapping up work here so we can be all set to open a branch there." she said. "Ok bye." they ended the call and Reet started wrapping up her work.

Her brother, Mr.Ritvik Randhawa is a businessman who has his own company. Known as one of best business tycoons in the US. He is sweet and loving, not like other businessman. Both siblings love each other a lot, but of course wouldn't say it to the other as they're a bit arrogant.

Now you guys may be thinking where there is. Reet and her family are moving back to India as both her and Ritvik were born there. She wants to move back as her roots are there and hasn't seen her culture as much. Her family supported her in this decision as they all wanted to go back too. Akhil (their dad) and Sunita(their mom) Rathore moved to the states when Ritvik and Reet were just 5 years old. They wanted to expand their business which they did successfully and decided to settle here. But now, it's time to go back.

Around 3:45....

"Moooommmmm. I'm home!" Reet yelled stepping into her house. No, no mansion. "Welcome, princess, welcome. It's not like we have to leave for somewhere early in the morning. Everything is according to you, no?" Her mom said sarcastically. "Mumma, pls now I just came home. I'll go change and be right back and we can do last minute packing." She ran before her mom could say anything else.

She entered her room, and collapsed on the bed due to the tiredness.

She sighed as she sat up on the bed. "I'm gonna miss you US. But, I promise I'll come visit." She said to herself. Reet was sad that she was leaving but really excited to go back home. To Ahmedabad, India, her birthplace. She changed into pjs and started heading downstairs.

There she was greeted by her lovely dad and annoying brother. "Hello princess, how was your day today?" Her dad said lovingly. "It was good dad, I'm really excited to go back!" She replied while hugging him. "COME AND EAT YOUR DINNER IF YOU WANT" her mom yelled from the dining room. "What's wrong with her whys she yelling? Ritvik asked. "bc none of us were home to help her with last minute packing." Reet replied while rolling her eyes. Then, all had their dinner and started to do their packing. (Also you guys may be wondering... dinner so early? Yea people in America mostly have early dinner around 5:30-6 soo yea, just to clear the confusion). "Woof, woof" the favorite member of the family came running towards Reet and Ritvik. "awe my baby katori are you ready to go home?" Reet cooed to him. Katori just looked at her with his cute face indication he's excited. "Reet the plane will be here 9:30am so be ready by 7 so we can leave for the airport." Ritvik said to her before going to sleep. "Yes big brother." she said jokingly. He shook his head and left. Ritvik is 2 minutes older than Reet which makes her so mad as he gets the upper hand saying "oh i'm older."

7:30 in the morning........

BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!

Reet's alarm went off after she snoozed it the past two times. She got up to look at the time and widened her eyes. "Shit I'm late!" she yelled. She quickly got ready and rushed downstairs to be met by her loveeely family. All were staring at her in disbelief. "How are you a criminal lawyer?" her mom asked. "Mumma what do you mean by that? I am one and one of the bests you know that!" Reet retorted. "Yea for someone who's a lawyer, clearly can't get themselves to wake up on time." Ritvik smirked. "Oh shut up you idiot, nikamma." Reet said getting irritated. "Ok if you guys are done can we get to the airport?" Their dad interrupted. "YESSS!" all three said together while katori just barked in Ritvik's arms. Although Reet and Ritvik were brought up in America, they do know hindi as their parents didn't want them to forget their mother tounge.

The four, sorry five including katori were taking their private back to India. "You guys ready?" their mom asked. "Always" Reet said and Ritvik smiled. The feeling they had was amazing. They were excited, nervous, and thrilled to go back. Reet was ready to start fresh in her life and excited to be around her two friends Aarush Malhotra and Rhea Mathur. Reet and her family were sitting and chatting on the plane when she drifted off to sleep.

"Reet wake up cupcake we're here." her brother said softly. "Let me sleep you idiot." she said in her sleep. "Oye, wake up we're here in INDIA." he said while shaking her. She jerked up and looked at her surroundings. "OMGGGGGG EEEEEEEEEE" she yelled. The others just rolled their eyes at her. They started heading out where they met a few people. Reet and Ritvik were confused about who they were but in reality they are their parents best friends.

"WELCOME TO INDIA" she said to herself and sighed.
