Chapter 5:bruises

Hey my king/Queen/ princess/ princes just wanted to say really quick before starting this chapter. It had been a couple of days and Cam wasn't in school today since he was on trip with his family. I was walking to my class with Rio lucky it was the last class of the day and since it was Thursday I had volleyball practice after school which lasted about 3:00 to 5:00 pm.  After class rio and me went to the locker rooms to get changed for our practices lucky we were starting at the same time and ended the same too. Once we got to the locker room I opened my locker combination and put my books and bag in the locker, taking out my shorts, shirt, pads and hair tie along with my shoes before I changed and finished getting ready. "You ready Grayson!!" One of the girl who names was Wendy and was one of the blockers for the team asked me excited. "Hell yeah!!!" She gave me a high five before heading out to the gym  court.

"See you after Rio!!" I said as she was finishing to get ready for her practice as well. "Alright go get them bestie!!" She yelled happy. I ran out to the court of the gym and began my practice. "Alright ladies!" Our coach Shelly said. "We are gonna start with runs up and down then passing drills along with severing and a 7 on 7 practice game for today's practice" everyone nodded. The whistle blew and practice started. Some hours passed and it was now 4:59 pm so coach stopped the practice and we all helped clean up the gym before heading back to the locker room. Everyone headed back to the locker room and got changed. Rio got done before me but they needed to get something from one of the snack bars so I told her I would meet her up there.

I had just finished changing into my shirt again and placed out my hair tie when someone entered the locker room so I thought it was one of the girls. "Uh hello?, did you forgot something?" I said looking around but I didn't see anyone till I turned around seeing Josh pin me to one of the lockers. "Josh!?! What are you doing in here?!?" I screamed. Josh's eyes were a bit dark red and his breathe smelt like weed. "Hello beautiful, we meet again" he said in a voice which showed that he was high. "P-pls get off me" I said a bit worried. Josh chuckled softly in a way as his head went down then back up again like a psycho.  "Oh beautiful, your so pretty you know" he said grabbing my chin and lifting it up. I started to get scared. Josh was about to lean in and kiss me getting closer and closer that his hand almost touched my back. "Stop it!!" I screamed as my eyes started to tear up as I shoved him off me hard and kicked him in the stomach before slapping him across the face.

I started to back away and was about to make a run for it when Josh came up behind me and grabbed my arm really tightly it hurt a lot. His grip was strong as I tried to get his hand off me. I started to cry out of fear. "You shouldn't have done that." Josh said in a rough tone and aggressive tone of speech he was about to hit me as I closed my eyes when suddenly he fell to the ground hitting his hand on one of the benches. "Ahh!" He screamed struggling to get up. "Come on Luna!!! Run! Let's go!!" A voice said grabbing my hand and pulling me out of there as me and the person ran and ran till the person stopped outside near a wall of the school out of view. "Luna hey, are you ok?" The voice said but I couldn't focus I just stood there an able to answer  suddenly I felt dizzy and I couldn't breathe well like the air from lungs had been cut. I only got a glance of the person. It turns out that it was Rio who got me out of there before I passed out in her arms. "Luna!!!" I heard rio say in worry as I fell back just in time for her to caught me.

3 hours later I woke up back at home in my bed. I groaned softly. "W-what happen?, where am I?" I said as my eyes got use to the light looking around my room to see rio sitting by my bed glad that I was ok. "Omg Luna, are you ok, how do you  feel.?" She asked worries but making sure she didn't overwhelm me. "I'm ok I guess, did I faint?" Rio nodded before hugging me gently. I hugged her back. "Wait!?! Where is Josh!" Rio rubbed my back gently as I cried. "Shh shh it's ok, your safe he is left a long time ago after you fainted." Rio held me in her arms for a few minutes till I calmed down. "What happen in there?" I took a deep breath before explaining to her what happened before she had found me and Josh. "What!?! He did that and he was high!!" She said pissed. "Ohhh he is so dead!!" She yelled almost hitting the lamp on my nightstand but she calmed down.

"Are you going to tell Cameron about this?" She asked sitting down next to me and placing her hand on mine. I shallowed hard before answering her. "Y-yes, just not now but I will pls don't tell him!" I said looking down. She nodded. "Hey it's ok I won't." She gave me a side hug. I felt a pain in my right arm near by wrist. "Ouch...that hurts" I said lifting up my sleeve seeing a black and purple bruise that Josh had left. Rio looked worried as she left to grab the medic kit coming back and cleaning the wound before wrapping it in a bandage. Lucky nothing was broken and it would heal in a couple of days.

"Do you want me to stay over?" She asked me. I nodded as I didn't want to be alone at the moment. For the rest of the night we stayed in my room and watched a movie together. Cameron was coming back together from his trip and I was worried that he would find out before I got the chance to tell him what had happened. Rio and I were half way through the movie when my phone dinged. It was a message from Cam.
"Cam texted me." I told rio as she looked at my screen. "You should answer him so he won't worry or think your sleeping" she said.

Hey Cam, I'm doing ok. How is the trip?

That's good, trip is going good! I miss ya.

Yeah me too.

I'm glad your ok. Well I'll see you tomorrow darling.

Mhm! See ya tomorrow Cam.

I put my phone down and kept watching the movie with rio till we both fell asleep. It was the next morning rio and I decided to stay home from school as I didn't want to go seeing Josh after what had happened yesterday last night. So we would have a girls day. We got up, got dressed and headed downstairs for breakfast. Cameron made it back from his trip so he was at home unpacking. We headed out to the chocolate cafe for some coffee where we talked about stuff and how our teams where doing with our seasons then we headed to mall and I ended up getting some shirt, and hoodies along with some earrings  and bracelets. Rio got lots of anime stuff for her and Ashlyn. I could tell that they were happy together.

We went back to Rio's house for a bit to study for some exams that we had coming up then we ate some ramen and played some music while studying together. I felt a bit better but I was still worried about Cam finding out about what happen. I couldn't slept yesterday as I woke up many times during the night from nightmares or bad dreams I also threw up but rio calmed me down. I was lucky to have her as one of my best friends in the world. Eventually I went back home for the night and watched some tv while talking with Cameron on face time talking about how his trip was along with if he had missed some stuff and what was happening with me but I felt out the part with Josh since I wanted him to know in person even though he might kill Josh as he was my best friend and was protective of me along with people in our friend group we all had taken self defense clases when we were fights grade together so we all knew how to protect and fight people. Before we knew it we had fallen asleep on face time together yet I felt safe even though I could touch only see him. I still felt like he was hugging me and keeping me warm and safe in his arms like he did every day I wanted to tell him so much how I felt and that I loved him so damn much it almost hurt knowing that I wanted to be his and for him to be mine till the end of time us being together as lovers.
