The day starts with a performance of Luke by Leia. She spent all night writing the song about her feelings about Luke. She felt hurt that Luke would probably never feel the same for her. She didn't see the look in Luke's eyes when he looks at Yuna. The song was "see through me" by Leia.
The boys were really loving the powerful song. They didn't see that Leia was singing to Luke, but Yuna saw it. She could see the emotions for Luke, it was the same look that she had. The song was raw, it really came from her heart. Yuna saw that Leia really liked Luke, but he did reassure her that Leia was just a friend to him. Yuna didn't know his feelings for her, but she knew that she wanted to be his girlfriend but just afraid to tell him. If he didn't feel the same, she loses her friends because it becomes awkward and why would Luke like her anyways. He's so talented and really handsome, he could have any girl in the studio so why would it be her.
Luke just saw that it was just a good song, really ignorant that the song is about him. Leia finishes her song and everyone claps. Yuna gets on stage and Leia immediately loses her smile, because she knows that Luke might have feelings for her. She knows that Yuna is really good at singing and songwriting.
Racheal: " Hey, Yuna's song won't beat yours, its too good" She reassures Leia, Leia smiles but still nervous.
Everyone is blown away from the song, but Leia's song definitely stayed in everyone's minds because the pure emotion of it. Mr. T definitely likes all the songs but he chooses John's and Rachael's song because they are songs that people for the auditions can make their own. Yuna's song was there but he felt that it was a too intense and fast paced song. Same with Leia's, it was too emotional that it would not allow others to make it their own style.
Leia was mad about this, because her song was great, amazing even. John tells Leia that its a specific formula that Mr.T uses that the song has no personality. Its to allow other people to make the song creatively how they would like. Leia is so happy, because it wasn't because her song was bad, it just that Rachael's song has no personality, great. Rachael hears Leia telling someone about that. She thinks that Leia thinks that her songs are boring and that she's not talented like Leia. Rachael wants to write great songs so she cashes in her chip.
Chip: Need a favour with no arguments
Leia tries to get Rachael to feel, but it seen as mockery to Rachael so she gets angry and leaves. The boys after the disastrous open mic night and leaving the bass amp go to buy a van. Yuna tags along cause Luke also wanted to get her opinion for the van. They go to the dealership to look at the van. The van is covered in paw prints and has a stuffed ferret that smells really bad.
James: "No way man, it still smells like wet dog. The van looks really bad too"
Luke: "Nah, we could spoof it up and clean the van and it will be as brand new."
The guys look sceptical, Yuna also can't really see it either. But Luke convinces them through majority, so they buy it. Leia also gets Rachael to write a song through the dark, which the day works out for everyone. This helped Leia forget her pain of Luke for just a second, but it helped.
