Roller coaster

People always say life is a rollercoaster.
Is it?
Roller coasters go up and down, in circles, loop-the-loop, and straight down. But they always follow the same rail. They don't go onto new roads or new tracks unless the track is built for them.
But life always has a new road. There's always lumps and sharp glass shards and holes all over. Things that are sharp. Things that are deep. Things that hurt.
But when you sit in a roller coaster, you have a seat belt. The carriage of the roller coaster makes sure you're safe. But life has no carriage. No one is there to make sure you're safe all the time.
Life can not be simulated in any way possible. At least, I don't think it can.
Life is filled with surprises. Sometimes it throws confetti at us, sometimes it throws thorns. Most of the time it throws thorns. A lot of times.
Roller coasters keep going on the same tracks, even if someone throws something at you, it might not hit you because the roller coaster's going so fast. But in life if you're walking on the sidewalk and people start throwing stones, insults, you can't even dodge it because you're walking so slowly down the pavement. And even if you run, they can chase after you, throwing more, and more, sharper and harder and larger stones.
Society is like a thunderstorm. Because when you want to ride a roller coaster, they cancel the ride in thunderstorms. Just like how Society cancels out our confidence most of the time, making us feel like we're nothing but big bags of trash piled in one place because we don't know where else to go.
Lightings in the thunderstorm are like insults and demotivating things people say to you. Lighting is like the regret and heartache you experience in a thunderstorm. Frustration and anxiety is what you experience, when life is just too full of shit.
But after the thunderstorm, there's always sun. The sun dries up the rain water, making the roller coaster available again. Like how good things emerge when bad things come to an end. Sometimes it happens. Sometimes it doesn't. Just like a rainbow.
People smile when they see rainbows. But...why?
Why do people smile when they see rainbows? Is it because of the seven colors aligned in a row? Is it because it's the vibrant colors in the sky?
I don't know what you might think, but I smile because rainbows are a sign of hope. Good luck. A new beginning. Because a rainbow is like how you meet someone new in life, and that someone, in both a good way, or a bad way...
Might just change your life forever.
I know people always say life is like a roller coaster because of the ups and downs. But if you dig into the details, a roller coaster and life is very different. But the things that affect it from moving on, are slightly the same.
Honestly, I'm not one to believe when someone says 'everything will be fine' because it never feels fine. But slowly, very very slowly and deep, deep, deep, very deep down in your heart... Your life is getting a little bit better every day.
