Chapter 5

Matilda Bridge
"What are you doing here Erik?" I heard as he went outside and left the door open a little.

" I should be asking you that Simon" Erik's voice was calm.

" wait did you bring in another girl?" What? Is this where he brought his quests?

"What? No" he said as I forced the door open and saw an older version of Erik.

Probably his brother
" oh she's hot, what's your name sweethear" ughh they were the same.
"What are you saying? Stop asking questions" Erik said looking annoyed but I didnt care less. I had to leave.

"I can't believe you Erik" I said and walked away.
" Why would you say stuff like that?"
"Well I didn't know there would be an actual girl in there" I heard Erik sigh.

I got to my next class which is history. Luckily, I found an empty seat near the window. Class hadn't started, so I used the opportunity to admire the school. It was beautiful for a public school.
It had really green grass and I was starting to wander if it was real or it was covered in green paint. I could see the soccer field from my seat, which even made me love it the more. Some students were running on the field, probably training.
Then I saw black hood- I mean Erik among them. He was also training with them. He looks really handsome running in his black Jersey and shorts. His hair was attached to his forehead, forming curls due to his sweat. He looked really hot. Only if I could run my hands through his hair and the we cou-

" Sorry to interrupt your daydreaming, but you're on my seat" a blonde-haired girl with pretty black eyes stood in front of me with two other girls behind her.

It's weird though, I have never seen a blonde with black eyes. She also looked familiar.

" Hello? I'm right here" she waved her hands in my face.
"Aha! You're the girl that ignored me when I was asking for directions" I pointed my index finger at her.
She gasped" don't you dare point your filthy fingers at me"

Well..I got myself a drama queen

"Well find yourself another seat, I think I like this seat better" I stretched my legs." And you don't want that lady there giving you Detention for distracting the class, do you?" I smiled

She glared at me and eventually left with her minions. I looked at the board and saw that she had already cleaned off what I was meant to write. Well time to sleep.

"Hey new girl" someone shouted, making me jump from my sleep" I wasn't sleeping" I turned to the direction of the voice. I hadn't seen him before. He had brown hair and was tall enough to reach the sky.

Okay that's too much exaggeration

Well but he was tall. Probably taller than that maths teacher.

" I can see that " he said pointing to my face. I touched my face and felt something.

"Oh shit!" I quickly turned away from him and checked if I had any napkin in my bag , but unfortunately, I didn't.

"Here take this" he gave me a napkin.

"Oh no I can't take that " I said still having my back against him.
"Do you even know what I'm giving you?" I could hear him smiling.

I can't let him see me like this

He then appeared in my front. "Fuck!"I fell back in fear.

"Um...are you okay?" He brought me back up."Are you sure you are fine" he had like a little bit of British accent. It was cool.

"Yeah yeah yeah I'm fine" I finally took the napkin and cleaned my face. "I'd wash this for you" I said and turned to leave the class room.

" what's your name?" He literally shouted

"Matilda" I said without turning back.

"Oh so she's the one " I heard as I left the room. Walking through the parking lots where a few cars were left.
Then I remembered, I still have detention.

" ughhhh" I groaned and stomped my feet on the ground. I turned back to head to the class assigned for the Detention.

When I opened the door, it was only 2 people I saw seated at the back, with the maths teacher at the front desk, so I joined them.

Few moments, Erik walked in and out of all the seats in the room, he decided to seat behind me.

I cursed under my breath.

"Hi there " he whispered in my ear

"You could've possibly sat somewhere else" I sighed " and for your information, do no speak to me again "

"This isn't the time to chat. Take a book and read" maths teacher spoke.
I took out my science textbook, pretending to be reading and few minutes later I passed out.

"Someone should fucking wake her up" a voice shouted, but I didn't react to make it obvious, so I basically said in a low voice "Who said I was sleeping?"I raised my head and saw everyone staring at me.

Um...okay
"Sure you weren't " Mr Tony stood up and walked to the door
"Okay that's it for today. See you tomorrow " and he left.

I got home late and went straight to my room to have my bath. Few minutes later, I went back downstairs to make myself dinner
"And why are you home late young lady?" I turned around to see my mum in her night wear staring at me suspiciously.

"Um...I had Detention" I turned back to turn off the gas cooker.

"What did you do this time? And this is just your first day " she sighed.
" I didn't do anything " I stared at the floor.

"For how many days is your Detention for?" She asked

"Probably two weeks " I shrugged making her sigh the more.
"Well have you made friends? " she asked taking out of my chips I just made "Any boyfriends yet?"

"Mum!" I exclaimed

"What? I'm just asking"

"It's just my first day and besides I don't plan on having any time soon "
"Well that's too bad" she took the last piece of chips from my plate and rushed to her room. I sighed in disbelief.
Tomorrow is gonna be great, can't wait. Note the sarcasm.
