I looked up at the night sky and thought as I layed on the bench. The night sky reminds me of our world. The darkness is society. One constant shade of dark, scary, and hurtful. But the stars are people like me. There are a lot but not enough to kill the darkness completely. Some shine brighter than others, and some you dont even see. Some are like the moon, they get their light from others. The stars need darkness like we need society, to make us stand out.

Suddenly my view was covered by a shadowy figure. My eyes finally adjusted to see the boy looking down upon me. He had brown hair, blue eyes, and dimples. Man, those dimples hit me like a truck. His smile showed off his perfect white teeth. A basketball was being held between his side and his arm.
"Are you going to sleep on the bench or do you actually have a bed here," he said.
"I have a bed im just admiring the sky but you're kind of blocking the view."
"Please, I am the view... just kidding I promise im not conceded." He laughed and I sat up.
"Care to sit?"
"Nah I just came for some b ball but I couldn't help but notice the girl laying on the bench." He walked onto the concrete basketball court and started shooting hoops. I sat and watched and talked to him about why we came and so on and so on. Finally the ball fell into the lake and we went our separate ways.
"Wait! I never got your name," he said turning to me.
"Sable Andrea Davis. And yours?"
"Joshua Oliver Young. Night Sable "
"Goodnight Joshie."
"Oh PLEASE don't."
