Joan barely knew what she was doing. She was running in this giant airport and she was completely lost. And it would really suck if she had to hold her plane up. And as she ran around with her tan and grey backpack, she almost missed the giant sign that screamed "B-39" in a giant font. She sighed in relief and got in the already forming line for plane. Her ticket was for A. Which meant the front of the line, right?

In what felt like a hour later, she was in her spot waiting for take off. She took her ear phones and iPod out as the flight attendant started talking. She didn't really care for what they had to say, she had heard it all before. She quickly typed in the short password (aka, her favorite character from Supernatural) and plugged in her yellow canary headphones. The woman in the seat next to her looked at them oddly. She smiled and shrugged. She thought they were cool.

She hit the shuffle button. Her music ranged from Get Scared to Survivor to good 70s. Hell, she even had classical music and Pitch Perfect sound tracks on there. It was kind of a big range. Joan was pretty diverse in general.

As the flight attendant finished her little speech, Joan pulled out her encyclopedia of dinosaurs. It was something she had since kindergarden, even when she couldn't read the words, she still loved looking at the pictures. Her favorite section was the Diplocids. She loved just rereading and memorizing. It bothered her when she didn't know something.

As she read, she memorized how each Diplocid, Stegocera, and Dromaeosaur should look. She organized in her brain how tall each should be, how they act, what era, and what they eat. She reviewed everything that she already knew, preparing herself for her new job as a dinosaur trainer.

Before she knew it, she drifted off to the sound of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

A few drops of orange smelling liquid were splashed on her face. Joan's eyebrow twitched as an annoying voice appeared as well.

"Hey, wake up! It's time to get out and I need to get my kid!"

As Joan sat up groggily, her yellow headphones slipped down, allowing her to hear the scratchy voice of her plane neighbor to hit her ears. She frowned in distaste at the woman's voice but packed her stuff anyway. Albeit, slowly just to annoy her. She loved being an inconvenience to rude people.

After she finished putting her book, headphones, and iPod back, she unbuckled her belt and got up. She winced when she could feel the seat peeling from her legs that her shorts didn't cover. Her knees and ankles popped, which felt amazing. She swung her bag around her shoulder. Stepping off the plane, Joan appreciated the warm air. She hated anything below 78 degrees.

After wandering around and get her luggage, Joan was already on the train to the park where she'd be picked up by the lead geneticist. She already forgot the guy's name. Something Chinese. Joan was always really bad with names. People (and book) names. She could always remember her plants and zoo animals.

Dr.... Wong... Wang... Wu?

Joan was pretty sure it was Wang.

80% sure.

Whatever.

Once the train lurched to a stop, she began her trek to a where Dr. Wang was supposed to meet her. She frowned as a sweaty tourist brushed her arm. He turned, revealing sweat stained armpits and an even sweatier forehead. He scowled, "Hey, watch it!"

She continued walking, ignoring the rude and sweaty tourist.

Ugh. Tourists.

Joan arrived to the agreed meeting spot. She looked around, looking for an asian man in a white coat probably. Her eyes stopped on an asian man in a white lab coat. His name tag read "Dr. Henry Wu". It kind of rang a bell.
