It was a dark and stormy night with the clouds enveloping the night sky while the moon's light illuminated the entire town. The clothes that were once dry are now as wet as a river, completely soaked, with each passing hour of rain. I question the gods, asking "Why did it have to rain at this hour of the night?" My fingers are now beginning to feel numb from the cold.
Fontaine had never gotten this bad before. Nevertheless, I suppose this is what you get for going out on a night like this. As I continue to cross the path, the rain grows heavier and heavier, and I begin to lose faith that I will just have to be stuck in the rain for some hours. If God had answered your prayers. Finally, you hear the sound of horses' hooves, and it seems that there was also a carriage to go along it.
I turn to look in that direction and see that the carriage has stopped, along with a handsome man wearing a sharp blue suit, long white hair that falls to the bottom of his waist, and eyes the color of the deepest parts of the ocean. "Madame, please do come inside" he says as he gives me a concerned look. I thank him as I ask him, Are you sure? I don't want to cause any trouble, sir. "It's no trouble at all, besides I wouldn't want a pretty thing like you to catch a cold", he says as he grabs my hand and leans down to give my cold hand a warm kiss.
As I say "Oh thank you so much for getting me out of the rain, you're very kind sir," to the man, I notice a rush of pink rushing down my cheeks. He takes my hand to help lift me up as I sit down in the carriage and removes his coat as he does so. I thank him and inquire, "Sir, what is your name?" "My name is Neuvillette, and I'm the Iudex of Fontaine. Judging by the way you look, I'd say you aren't from around here, am I correct, dear?" He asks as he turns to face me.
I tell him, "Oh my, I didn't know you were chief, I'm so sorry for not recognizing you sir," with a shocked expression. I lower my head and put my arm across my chest as I bow. "Please there is no need for formalities, still you haven't answered my question, he chuckles as he addresses me. I then look up at him, now sitting up straight and say, "Um, yes, I'm from Monstadt, and I'm here in Fontaine to see my sibling." "My my how very interesting, well I hope you enjoy Fontaine as much as I do," he says as he looks at me with interest.
"You truly are a man of kind words," I say with a kind smile as I address him. As I snuggle into the coat that Neuvillette so graciously gave you, I start to shiver. When he noticed how cold I was, Neuvillette spoke up and asked, "If it's all right with you, may sit next to you mon amour?" I then respond in a flustered manner with "Mm I would love that."
He then stands up and sits down next to me with a small smirk on his face. After a few minutes, I begin to nod off as I breathe in his intoxicating scent, I feel a wave of fatigue wash over me, rest my head on his shoulder, and snuggle up against his chest. He looks at me with a soft smile and a hint of blush on his cheeks as he whispers "Fontaine may be beautiful but between the heavens and Teyvat, I have never seen such beauty quite like yours."
