The day had begun in the most disastrous way possible and it all started when I forgot to set my alarm clock the previous night. I had woken up five minutes ago when I should have woken up an hour ago, now I was rushing to get ready before I had to catch the bus in fifteen minutes.

And the worst part was... Hyunjin wasn't going to be at school today.

I grabbed whatever pair of pants that looked clean and threw them on, as well as some hoodie I found on the floor, I did a quick sniff test and quickly put it on. My bag was conveniently by the door as I rushed to get out and run towards the bus stop. I ran so fast down the stairs that I thought I was going to fly, and as soon as I stepped onto the sidewalk, heavy raindrops started falling on my face... well this was just the icing on the cake.

"Fuck... the one time I forgot my umbrella it had to rain."

I threw a few more curse words towards the sky before I started sprinting towards the bus stop.

And it seemed like I had pissed off the universe somehow because from a distance I could see the bus driving away from my stop.

"Stop!" I yelled and waved my arms as I tried to chase down the bus and yet it was no avail, the bus had quickly driven away, leaving me with no choice but to walk to school in the pouring rain... well at least I'd get to shower one way or another. My clothes were drenched from the cold rain pour, I was shivering the whole time I walked down the slippery sidewalk. My phone was ringing but I didn't have the strength to answer. Thirty minutes later and I was finally at school, there was only half an hour left for my first class of the day, so I decided to skip first period and instead head towards the bathroom to dry myself as best as I could.

The hallways were quite empty as everyone was in class, I tightly wrapped my arms around my body trying to stay warm but the heavy rain and cold weather seemed to make it impossible not to shiver the whole time I walked towards the bathroom... I had a terrible feeling I'd end up sick. I entered the empty bathroom and peeled off my wet hoodie, I tried my best to wring out as much water as I could but it was still too wet. I looked in the mirror and saw how drenched I was, it was as if someone had dumped a bucket of water on top of me.

I pulled out my phone because I forgot to text Beomgyu back and knowing him... he probably called the cops and filed a missing persons report by now. I took a deep breath once more, even in my current situation I couldn't help but think about Hyunjin. I shook away my feelings and immediately texted Beomgyu my situation.

"Kim Seungmin I thought you had died or something! Why didn't you answer your phone?!" I was startled as Beomgyu had entered the bathroom yelling, how the hell did he get here so fast? "I swear next time you over slee-why the hell are you soaking wet?" I sighed, "I had quite the morning today, do you have any spare clothes?"
