As the days pass, Lily thinks more and more about Jack. She replays their conversation in her head, trying to decipher if there was a deeper meaning behind it all. Still, Lily can't deny a sense of happiness whenever she thinks of their encounter.

However, her home life is still unstable, as her parents' arguments escalate while her sister's addiction spirals out of control. Lily tries to be the mediator, the glue that holds her family together, but it takes a toll on her mental health. She's struggling to cope with the weight of her family's problems along with her own past traumas.

One day, as Lily is walking home from school, she sees Jack again. He's sitting on a bench, reading a book. Lily stops to say hi and to see how he's doing in town. As their conversation continues, Lily opens up to Jack about her family troubles and how she's been struggling lately.

"I don't know how to deal with it all. It all feels like it's too much," she admits, feeling vulnerable.

Jack listens intently and offers words of support and encouragement. "I'm sorry to hear that. Just know that you're not alone. We all have our struggles, but it's important to take care of yourself too. Maybe there's a way to find some peace amidst the chaos," he responds.

Lily feels a sense of relief talking to Jack. She could sense that he genuinely cared about her well-being. They part ways once again, and Lily can't help but smile at how much better she feels after confiding in him.

As she nears home, the noises of fighting and arguing begin to crescendo. Lily takes a deep breath and prepares herself for the chaos ahead. Once inside her house, she tries to focus on Jack's advice, finding a way to center herself amidst the chaos. But the weight of her family problems persists.
