Nancy was sitting on the edge or a large stone fountain, enjoying the fresh air and calm atmosphere. Nancy played with the dancing waters with her fingertips, until she accidentally splashed cold water on to her clothing. This started Nancy, causing the teen to jump up to her feet. Just then someone ran into her, knocking her to the ground.

A split second later, a young boy snatched her purse and ran. Nancy chased after him, failing to catch up. "This kid is fast! Does he run track or something?" Nancy wondered. She chased him down the street, into a dark ally. Perhaps not the best choice but they both soon emerged unharmed. The boy happened to look behind himself and was shocked to see Nancy, so he changed directions. "Looks like he is trying to make it to the beach!" thought Nancy.

Nancy watched as the boy pushed his way through groups of people trying to escape. The child made an huge mistake when he pushed through a group of young men that looked to be just hanging out. To Nancy's surprise, one of the young men tackled the child to the ground. "That purse is not yours, low life!" he exclaimed while managing to hold down the struggling child.

"You wimp let me go! I'll fight you fist to fist! You do not have a chance against me in a fair fight!" the boy argued. Then he cried out in desperation, "JASPER HELP ME! YOU PROMISED ME PROTECTION IF I WORKED WITH YOU!" There was a sound like a gun being shot off in the distance and caused the young man to lose his grip on the child. The young thief managed to slip away without Nancy's purse.

The young man frowned as he watched the boy run away. Turning to Nancy, gave her a small smile. The man was tall, had a slightly muscular build, with golden-brown hair, and had jade green eyes. His face looked very similar. Where had she seen this hunky guy before? "Perhaps from back in River Heights? No that could not be it." thought Nancy.

"I assume this is yours?" said the young man, holding out her purse.

Nancy took her bag back and smiled at him. I am Nancy, by the way, and thank you so much for your help. Kids these days are just plain wild."

"So tell me fair maiden what were you doing when that boy robbed you. You seem too quick-witted to outsmarted by a mere child," he said before leaning back a bit.

"I was knocked off guard by another boy that ran into me. Resulting, in the thief taking advantage of the opportunity and running off with my bag," she said as she sat down on a bench and patted the spot next to her "And you are Mr..?" she joked lightly and smiled.

He looked at her strangely for a second before responding, "My name is Ryan. I'm a local in this area." He slowly sat down beside her, rubbing his against hers. "Sorry about that."

In response, Nancy blushed before adding, " I am here for a short vacation with a few friends."

Ryan leaned closer, "I was right then. I guessed you were not from here."

"Is it that obvious?"

"Yeah, it is. I noticed you walking around earlier and not seeming to know where you were going." he chuckled slightly.

Nancy went to push herself up but slid down instead. "I guess I am more worn out than I first thought. Will you help me up?" she asked while holding and hand out in his direction.

At first, he seemed surprised, then he smiled and said in a charming tone, "Anything for you, darling."

Later on, Nancy was walking with Ryan, she said, "Since first meeting you, I have had the feeling that I meet you before. I just can't seem to shake that feeling."

Ryan looked thoughtful for a moment before replying, "Perhaps, we meet before in another life."

Nancy laughed and nudged his arm with her elbow. "That is a silly notion."

Ryan scrubbed his shoulders, "From what I have heard, some people believe in it and religiously."

In response, Nancy rolled her eyes. She let her gaze scan over his body and blushed. "Come to think of it, I met a really cute guy yesterday as well." Nancy thought to herself.

"Are you ok? You look stressed." Ryan asked as he waved his hand in front of her face.

Nancy was surprised, "I'm just fine. I was lost in thought for a moment."

"Gotta be careful doing that. Deep thinkers are known to miss out on a lot in life by not paying enough attention to the world around them."

Nancy smiled and stuck out her tongue at him, "Now who sounds like the deep thinker?" Ryan flicked her on the nose playfully.

Nancy looked him in the eye as she said, "I remember meeting someone yesterday that looked a lot like you."

"Did he appear to be my double or just looked similar?" Ryan asked wearing a look of concern.

"Come to think of it, he looked like you but with blonde hair and hazel eyes," Nancy explained. Ryan shifted his weight from foot to foot and seemed to become agitated as she spoke.

"He works at a scuba diving company around here. Could you be related?" Nancy asked.

"Right now is not the best time to get into that..." the Ryan tried to say when his friends came back up.

"Hey, we caught him. The squirt thought he had lost us when he hid under a jeep but we could still see his bright red shoes under there. The police have him right now." One of the young men explained.

"Oh, that is great! I guess a call needs to be made to tell the police to be on the lookout for the accomplice." Ryan suggested.

"Can you tell me where the nearest payphone is? I would be happy to make the call." Nancy asked the group.

"I'm sorry Nancy but I need to get to work," Ryan explained as he turned to leave with the group of guys.

"That is ok. I will see you again." Nancy replied.
