"You know, there was a time when we were," he put an emphasis on 'were' "gods. You would think after being alive for so long that you mere mortals would continue to consider us so." Loki all but sneered at this Phil Coulson, his voice was level though.

"Oh, I do. Gods, aliens, they are pretty much the same thing different words." The man smiled back cheekily.

It was only because Loki was in this box meant for Banner that the man felt safe. The moment he was out, he'd stab this man. For now, he kept his temper in check, "I find words have far less value than you may think. It is their intention that is worth the wasted air."

"You sound like you speak from experience."

He had nothing better to do besides plot the slow murder of this man or wait in utter boredom, "Shall I tell you a story, Coulson of SHIELD, about an age when even we did not speak the same language?"

"I'm all ears."
