Are the same but different.

Chapter 1: Greetings

Nero was out driving around with Nico. Nico and Nero have a friend (platonic) relationship. Nico loves being and going around with Nero because she's most comfortable with him. Nero hops out of the van that Nico is driving; she parks the car. Nero needed to hunt devils around the secluded area of the forest. Nero spots a devil near a cliff, he heads up there despite it being the most dangerous place; due to the signs that are everywhere. But Nero doesn't take 'no' for an answer. Nero fights some devils on the cliff and makes snarky, rude, and silly remarks, he accidentally sets a devil over the edge of the cliff. He didn't see that there was a house at the bottom of the cliff; Nero quickly jumped off the cliff (epic style!) Nico quickly rushes out of the van and shouts for Nero!

NI: "Nero! What the hell are you doin'!?!?"  Nico asks Nero as he falls off the cliff.

Nero didn't respond to Nico. He just wanted to make sure that no one was in the house that was crashed into, and he also wanted to make sure that anyone survived the current event. As Nero lands on the ground, he quickly searches the house for any possible surviving members. He didn't care about the giant ass demon that was laying dead in the house. Nero hears a faint sound of music coming through the sound of headphones. He quickly investigated where the sound was coming from. He went upstairs to the house and saw a guy that had headphones on and the guy was looking at a porn magazine (holding it) on their bed? Nero was confused by this..

N: "Uh...hey!" Nero calls out to the man. The man seems to be very invested in the magazine and with his volume turned up, not hearing Nero at all. Nero walked close to the man, close enough to flick him on the nose.

???: "Huh? What the - who the hell are you and why the fuck are you in my house!? How the fuck did you get in here!?" The man quickly pulls out a Glock-19. Nero guessed that the man was easily agitated. 

N: "Woah, calm down dude. I'm not a threat I swear! Didn't you hear that big crash through your house? Didn't you see the big destruction!?" Nero says, not wanting to escalate the situation any further. However, the man didn't seem bothered when he was notified that his house was in utter disarray. 

???: "What crash..?" The man says.

Nero takes the man's wrists and shows him the damage that has been done to his house. "What the hell happened here!?" The man says confused about the devil and the front of his house is in complete shambles.

N: "So..long story short, I'm Nero and I'm a devil hunter. That bastard that I killed was fighting me and I decided to push it over the edge of the cliff. I didn't know your house was below it and I-I..uhh.."

???: "Fuck.."

Nero smiled nervously but he decided to break the awkwardness that the two sat in silence as they both stared at the devil that Nero just killed.

N: "So...could you tell me your name?" Nero said this with a kind smile and the man looked at him with an annoying expression.

T: "The name's Trey. Trey Brooks." 

Trey says with a bit of a smile. Trey notices that Nero is taking in his appearance. Trey wants Nero to stop looking at him like that (up and down), Trey doesn't sway (only for twinks) that way which makes him feel a bit..uncomfortable. Trey's appearance is quite obscure, he's African-American with blonde long dreads that cover his eyes, snake bite piercings, and plump two-colored lips. Gosh, Nero couldn't stop looking at Trey's lips until Trey slaps him. 

N: "Ow..." 

T: "Ow? What do you mean "ow"? You crashed into my house, you fucking bitch! What the fuck am I going to do about this!?" 

N: "Calm down, me and my girl Nico will get you right! This is an offer..y'know."

Trey thought about it for a moment, he didn't have anywhere to go. His mother isn't fond of him and his father is unknown. 

T: "Fine, I'll take i-"

N: "No no, only one condition!"

T: "Ight? What is it?"

N: "Alright so, you help me AND my crew to find orbs and hunt devils to help keep the human world safe. If you accept this offer then I'll gladly give you somewhere new to live. You in?" Nero is happy that he gets to share the offer with a person that he finds attractive even though he might deny that he even likes Trey. But, he thinks that Trey is trustworthy.

T: "Fine, I'll accept." 

Nero pulled Trey into a tight hug. A very tight hug to be exact. Trey is uncomfortable because he just met Nero and doesn't know much about him besides what he does for work. Nero soon senses that Trey might be uncomfortable. 

N: "Sorry, Trey."

T: "Nah, it's ight. I just met you so I'm very socially awkward at the moment." Trey says as he rubs the back of his head. Nero understands Trey's "Uncomfortableness."

N: "Yeah, I understand! Well..um..follow me to the Devil May Cry van!"

T: "Devil May Cry?" 

N: "Yeah, it's a long story history behind the name. You're going to have to ask my uncle about that question!"

N: "The van is at the top of the mountain!"

Trey sighs...

T: "Long ass walk.."

Meanwhile with Nico..

Nico was jamming out to the radio as if she was playing a role in a music video, she was in her own world.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Nico jumps as she hears a knock on the window. She sees Nero with a stranger that she doesn't know! Nico unwinds the van's windows and quickly questions Nero about the strange that he brought along.

NI: "Who's thaaat?"

N: "Huh? Oh, that's Trey. A new member of our crew!"

NI: "A new member, huh? Nice to meet you...uh.."

T: "It's Trey."

NI: "Well, Nice to meet you, Trey! I'm sure- Nic- I'm...uhm.." Nico stammers.

T: "It's okay. Please, take your time. I don't mind." Nico smiles at him. She quickly gains a new crush despite not knowing anything about Trey.

NI: "Thanks! As I was going to say, I'm pretty sure that Nero convinced you to take that offer?"

T: "Yeah, he has."

Nero looks over at him and they lock eyes for a moment. The two men start to head inside the van by opening the van's doors. As they got inside, Nico fired up the van. It was a quiet drive. Trey was a bit anxious, he thought that he was kidnapped or something but he brushed those thoughts off he thought that Nico and Nero were okay enough to trust. 

Nero scoots over to Trey..

N: "Weird question! How old are you?"

T: "I'm twenty-two."

N: "Really? I'm twenty-three."

Silence..

T: "Where are we going anyways?"

NI: "We're going to Devil May Cry!"

T: "Huh?"

N: "You seriously don't know us guys? Dante? Lady? EVEN ME?"

T: "Nah. Neva heard of y'all.."

N: "Never heard of us!?"

T: "Not really, I'm more interested in Twink- I mean, interested in music. I don't really care about the outside world, y'know what I mean?" Nero nods.

N: "Well, we're almost there anyway! You'll see what business is about when we get there!"
