It was all going amazing. Damian was happy, had a great family, although he wouldn't admit that out loud, and he was going to get married with the girl of his dreams. Start a family with her. Everything seemed perfect, was it not?

Maybe he jinxed it. Maybe if he hadn't let his guard down, none of this would have happen. Maybe if he had gotten there faster, everything could have turned out better. Although one thing was for sure. He was going to kill him.

The Joker. That ruined everything.

The same Joker that was now the most feared name in Gotham. The same Joker that attempted and succeeded to kill the innocent, The same Joker that uses deadly laughing gas to force his victims to laugh to death.

The Joker,

That murdered Gotham's peace keeper.

Batman. His father.

The one that took him in after his mother abandoned him. The one that thought him 'justice, not vengeance'. The one that took care of him all these years.

Was dead.

He felt a tear trickle down his face, and suddenly, more tears started flowing, one after the other. He couldn't control himself.

Damian Wayne,

Was crying.

Raven knew things were going too fast. Batman was murdered a week ago, and Gotham has never seen darker times. It's becoming a much more dangerous and a more violent place. Gotham needs its Dark Knight to survive this world.

Which is why Damian has been given the choice to adopt this identity in order to return stability to Gotham. He was the only one fit to do it, and Raven knows he knows it too. After it was brought up though, he shot it down immediately and stormed of to only where Raven could guess, was his room. She couldn't blame him, He had lost someone irreplaceable, and now he was given the choice to be known by the same name in which his father lost his life to.

She walked slowly as she approached his room, thinking about what to say and how to say it as her hand reached out to open the door, but it was locked. She knocked on it lightly. "Damian, its me." She said softly.

The door almost immediately unlocked with a 'click' and she twisted the doorknob and entered slowly to find Damian seated by his bed, with his knees pulled up to his chest. Without hesitation, she went straight towards the boy and pulled him close to her. Damian's head rested on the crook of her neck as he continued to shed his tears.

All Raven could do at the moment was comfort him. She stroked his hair with her fingers in a soothing manner. "How could they?" Damian said in between tears. "How could they just tell me that like its nothing."

Raven pecked his forehead and continued stroking his hair. "You don't have to if you don't want to." She started; her voice soft as she continued, "Just know that I will support you with whatever decision you make, because I believe that whatever you choise to do, will be the right one." She pecked his forehead again.

They stayed in that position for little while longer, before Damian lift his head up and started wiping his tears. " Thank you, beloved." He muttered slowly as he continued to wipe his tears. Raven smiled, " You don't have to thank me for anything Damian," she started as her hand went to cup his cheek as her thumb wiped his tears that was still rolling down his face. "Are you okay?" She asked him.

"Better..." he whispered out. "What do you think I should do?" He faced her and asked. Raven was taken aback at first, " What ever you think is right." She replied with a smile. She wrapped her arms arond his torso and rested her head on her shoulder. "I love you Damian, and that will never change. Whatever you choose to do..." She uttered softly and pecked his cheek while hugging him.

Damian returned the gesture and rested his chin on the top of her head. " I love you more, beloved." And he kissed the top of her head. After a few moments, Raven started again, "So, what are you going to do?"

Damian looked at her and found himself entranced by her mesmerizing ametyhyst eyes.

"Whats right."
