In losing grip on sinking ships, Hyunjin showed up just in time and Felix could not have been more grateful for him as they lay in the bed of some inn nearby. The sheets are smooth but wrinkled and the room is dark but the moon shining outside glowing behind the billowing curtain allows enough light inside. When Felix had mustered the words of his desires and Hyunjin had immediately agreed they held hands and walked the steps to whichever place they could reside in first

it's a blur to Felix and he can't remember many details of what really went down as they walked to this Inn because he was too fixated on the fuzzy and cozy feeling of being cared for alongside being heavily overwhelmed by whatever had just happened earlier and the lingering alcohol in his system.

And it's so wonderful, the feeling of Hyunjin not even taking a second before he 'ran away' with the brunette, the feeling of Hyunjin having followed him despite the lack of connection, of having dealt with his douchebag of an ex, taking care of him when he felt like absolute shit. And now as he lays next to him, upon Felix's shameless request, and stays silent. Doesn't say a word but even in the silence so much is said 'I'm here' 'You're not alone' 'You'll be fine and til then I'll stay, even after, I'll stay' Though these words may have not exactly been heard but they were indefinitely felt by Felix and so desperately wanted to be said by Hyunjin

Clicking of clocks and ushering of winds are all the sounds heard before Felix shuffled and the rustling of the sheets and his clothes resonates in the beige walls of this room as he turns around and faces Hyunjin who is staring at the ceiling, lying straight on his back. Felix doesn't say anything for a while, he remains silent and watches him in this intimate light of the night and the proximity of this moment that if he were to move just a little closer the respectful space between them would be erased and his body would stick to Hyunjin, which neither of them would mind but are unaware of

Hyunjin turns around, doesn't say a word but lets his eyes stare at Felix who stares back and they share a gaze that speaks a million words but still, nothing is said. Felix wants to, wants to say something, speak, but he doesn't and decides against his desires in the end because he doesn't want to ruin this perfect harmony of peace. Hyunjin too wants to ask if the blond is okay, ask him if it still hurts like the hell it did before but none of them say anything and the silence feels so good, too good. Felix can't remember the last time he felt this content just by a presence, a presence of someone whom he only knows superficially

"Thank you"

At last, the harmony is ruined because Felix can't let another moment go to waste without having reminded the older how grateful he is. "For?" Hyunjin doesn't want to be thanked, he doesn't want Felix to tell him that he's grateful only because he feels burdened. He wants Felix to be grateful in a manner that lights his soul each time he thinks of Hyunjin and not in a manner that weighs heavy against his conscience at night because Hyunjin did him a favor

"For having helped me" Hyunjin wants to click his tongue but he refrains and exhales a deep breath instead "You would've done the same, Felix" The blond shakily exhales a breath before he opens his lips to speak again "Not for a stranger I wouldn't had"

"You're not a stranger"

Felix chuckles, looking away for a split second as he gathers his senses before he looks back at the brunette and licks his lips, bearing himself to answer whatever Hyunjin had just said "I'm your brother's friend" It's not the smartest thing to say but that's all Felix can think of at the time, what he means by his vague words is that he may not be a stranger he's still not someone to go to such extents for, he's just Hyunjin's brother's friend. Even if it's dark Felix is sure he saw something change in Hyunjin's eyes, a flicker or a linger of something, he's not sure
