Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has adopted a child! You heard that right folks! the 21-year-old country singer recently shared in an Instagram post a picture of a young redheaded girl. in the caption, she explained that she had adopted the girl, Alice. Swift stated that when she met Alice there was an instant connection. according to a source close to the singer, Alice's Parents were mistreating the young girl and they had their parental rights severed late last year due to them going to jail for child abuse. according to Taylor's Instagram post, she has been fostering the little redhead since her parent's rights were severed and was finally able to adopt her. Alice's Perspective 8/9/2023
"Hey Tree, Hey Tree, Hey Tree, Hey Tree!" Alice ran up to the older redhead. She almost looked like she was vibrating with how much energy was in her body.
"yes?" Tree had her phone to her ear and was using her free hand to sort through papers. She had known Alice for over 10 years and had become like a second mother to her.
"how do I look?" Alice had spent a lot of time convincing her mom to let her borrow the sparkly gold and black fringe dress from the Speak Now tour. She also had her grandma do her hair the way her mom did her at that time and had her draw a 13 on her hand. She had drawn the lyrics of Long Live onto her arms. Alice had put a lot of effort in as tonight was special. It was the last night of the first leg of the tour. Alice had sat in the front row of the last show since the Speak Now tour, the tour she met and was adopted by her mom. Speak Now held a special place in her heart for that reason.
"Great!" Tree continued to sort through papers and hold her phone to her ear. She had barely slept last night getting things ready for the big announcement that Alice had no clue about.
"thank you! Are you excited? I'm really excited! I mean, I've seen the show so many times before, but I always love being in the front row and haven't done that in years! I made so many bracelets to trade! Did you make any?" Alice was now actually bouncing up and down on her toes. She had managed to drink 6 lattes and was feeling the effects strongly.
"NO! " Tree snapped, causing quite a few heads to turn in their direction. The young redhead immediately sunk into herself. She shouldn't be such a burden. Of course, the people around her only tolerate her. She wasn't as good as them. Even though she hadn't seen her birth mother since she was 6 and her father since she was 14, the damage they did was still there.
"Oh, sorry," Alice mumbled, trying to fight the tears. She turned and ran. Her long hair flew behind her as she searched for a quiet place to break down.
Finding an empty corridor, she broke down and collapsed against the nearest wall. Alice dug her nails into her palms, trying to ward off the flashback she could feel overtaking her mind.
"You stupid girl! I should have gotten rid of you when I had the chance!"
"no, no no no", Alice mumbled.
"You are unlovable. Everyone hates you."
"get out. GET OUT!" Alice screamed. The voice of her birth mother echoed in her head. It had been many years since Alice had heard the voice that haunted her nightmares spoken aloud, but she still remembered it vividly.
Alice felt the fog of the flashback closing in and stopped fighting. Nobody cared about her anyway, right?
