My name is Mally, I was born on April 1, 2006. My mom, Becca and my dad, Nico were never married but they were engaged a few times. They had a rocky relationship. My older brother was born two years before me but we have different dads.
My older brother has always been someone I look up to. He's strong, smart, kind, and even though sometimes he can be mean that's just how older brothers are and it's never affected my love for him. He's my role model and always will be.
Growing up with separated parents wasn't the best but it also wasn't terrible. Sure I got two of every holiday but life just never felt complete.
My dad worked as a firefighter so he would sometimes work overnight shifts, usually on Tuesdays. My mom, well she's worked a bunch of different jobs that I honestly can't remember.
I don't remember much of my childhood but I do know that I was loved. My dad has always been a superhero to me. He saves lives while risking his own. I'm pretty sure that qualifies as a superhero.
My mom was loud, she had a big personality that sometimes was hard to deal with but she's my mom, not really anything I could do about it but deal with it. She loves the color hot pink especially with sparkles. She love's mythical creatures such as mermaids, fairies, and unicorns.
My brother was extremely smart, always had good grades and never really got any complaints on his report cards. He wasn't very outgoing though he had his group of friends and kind of stuck with them. He also would have qualified as a good boy back then.
When I was six years old my dad got married. Her name was Shay and Shay was also a firefighter. I was the flower girl for their wedding. They got married in my Great Grandmothers backyard, which was right on the water. It was honestly a beautiful wedding and I even hoped to get married there someday.
My Great Grandmother who I called Nan was my favorite person. She was crazy but extremely funny. She would always have me fix her "hammer toes" because she couldn't do it herself. She was amazing. She was everything and more. She had bird feeders by her front porch and sometimes we would just sit there and watch the birds. Oh how I loved spending my time with her.
Well that was the first chapter of my story. I'm sorry if it's all over the place, I have never written a story before...well I have but let me tell you they were not very good. I will try and get the story to calm down a little bit and get myself straight. Please let me know if you have any advice or just your opinions.
Love you all ~ Mally
