Chapter 6

The Lexus car carrying Aisha and her friends had just made a right turn onto a side street. They were on their way to the 03 Boutique. Fiona and Fatiha were curious to know what went on between Jacob and their friend, while they were waiting for her inside the car.

And so while the car was taking them to the boutique, Fiona kept eyeing Fatiha. Aisha was staring at her phone thinking about her conversation with Jacob. She was taking her time to reflect on every word he had told her.

He had told her that they should spend sometime together. Then he went on to tell her goodbye. This was confusing to her. She looked up from her phone at her two friends.

"Babes, why would someone say they'd like to see you, and then a few minutes later tell you goodbye?" Fiona and Fatiha glanced at her. They had been waiting for this moment to bombard Aisha with questions.

"So did he say where he would like you guys to meet?" Started Fiona.

"Does he like the way you dress?" Asked Fatiha.
"Do you think he wants you only for a one night stand?" Asked Fiona
"Is he planning big? I mean, like marriage?" Asked Fatiha immediately.
"Stop! Stop! Just stop it, okay?" Aisha shouted out. " He only told me he would like us to meet."

"And then he said goodbye?" Asked Fiona. Aisha nodded. All three friends stared at each other in shock.

"And why would a man do that?" Asked Fatiha. "I mean, I can imagine all the sweet words that he must have breathed down your ears."

"Ah, Fatiha, na you dey talk dis one?" Asked Fiona.
"You and I are a match made in heaven." Teased Fatiha.
"A match made in heaven that lasted what, like two minutes? The time it took for him to walk out of the club?" Asked Fiona. Aisha rolled her eyes as Fatiha and Fiona kept on making fun of her. But suddenly Fatiha stared at Aisha with a thought which she felt was necessary she share with her.

"Okay jokes apart. Why would he say he wants to meet you, and one minute later tell you goodbye?" She asked. " I mean, did you threaten him, Aisha?"

"No, way." Aisha said.

"I mean, like did you even mention getting him locked up?" Asked Fiona. Aisha rolled her eyes again and sighed.

"You girls are impossibile, o." She harped. Fatiha and Fiona were waiting for her response and when she saw the way they were looking at her, she had to tell them what really happened. "Okay look, I only wanted to play tough so I told him that I could get him arrested and locked up."

"What?" Her friends shouted in shock.

"Okay, look he was also mean to me, so don't put all the blame on me."She responded.
"And what did he tell you that you felt he deserved to be locked up?" Asked Fatiha.

"This guy is extremely arrogant, o. Imagine him telling me a whole Aisha Erasmus Benue, that I have been dating the wrong guys. He said he likes to call them shy guys, o."

"Sho, and you didn't slap him, Aisha?" Asked Fiona.

"So was he the one who chose them for you?" Asked Fatiha.

"I don't understand some men, o." Aisha said.

"Dis guy never talk wetin he dey find for your body." Said Fiona.

"Aha, Fiona, na you dey ask dis question? Can't you see how beautiful our friend is?" Fatiha said.

"Oh so her beauty is the magnet that is attracting him to her?"

Finally they had reached the boutique and as the back door of the car opened and they came down, Aisha stood for a few seconds outside to stare at the 03 Boutique brand sign hanging above the door. She sighed as she remembered how Jacob had come first to C-Section, and then Club96. My God, will he still come here too? She thought.
