"..do you really think this was a good idea?"

Whispering over to Choso, who was walking next to me. Earning again just a little low hum from him and turning my head the third time on our way to the ice-rink, around to check on Hanami, Eso, Mahito and Kenjaku. Just like always Mahito was cheering around like a puppy with too much energy. I'm grateful that non-sorceres couldn't see his behaviour.
I gazed back at Choso and let out a small sigh that caught his attention but kept looking forward.
"You shouldn't worry so much about them. They promised they wouldn't cause any chaos."
He said in his raspy tired voice to get me out of my 'worrying' thought's.

This isn't going like I exactly planned... not at all actually.
My original plan was to sweetly ask Choso out and show him what ice-skating is when I explained it to him at the estate he didn't quite understand what I was talking about.
Of course, since he comes from the past era.

But sadly this got ruined pretty fast when Mahito overheard our conversation, wanting to immediately join the fun. I tried to explain him with excuse that he couldn't get along owing to the fact he would cause to much trouble. Nonetheless he wouldn't stop begging me to allow him to join...
And that's how we landed here with three others joining as well.

"Guy's! Guy's! Look over there! Y/n is that the place you were talking about?!"
Mahito yelled with excitement in his voice and rushed to the ice rink without letting me answer.
We all followed after him and sat down on a bench near the huge ice plate. Children, adults, couples were all enjoying themselves, skating and listening to the music they played in the background. My lips curled into a soft smile seeing the couples together and imagine myself with Choso.
"Y/n? Could you show us how to put those boots with... knives on?"
Getting lost in my own world not hearing a single word anymore from the outside but after a few seconds a hand was waving in front of my face to snapped me out. I blinked a few times and looked up to the younger brother.

"Oh, excuse me Eso, what did you say again?" I asked him and my eyes following what he was holding in his other hand and then seeing Hanami, plus the rest also struggling to put the skates on. Except Kenjaku, he already put them on and trying to explain Mahito how to bind the ice skates.
I had to chuckle at this sight, it's somehow adorable that they act like children not knowing about the simplest things but being ingenious in killing humans.
"So so needing my help, I see. Alright let me help you first Eso."

Choso's curious orbs never left me, watching how I helped his brother and following the steps to put the ice skates on. He was the quietest of our group, only talking if he needs to.
It didn't take to long they understand it pretty quick. I mean...at the end it's like putting shoes on, there shouldn't be any difficulty.

After everyone was ready we slowly walked like ducks to the rink. Believe it or not I'm happy that somehow Kenjaku knew how to ice skate and helping the others a little.
This was my time! "Would you like to glide a few rounds with me? I will you how to skate properly." Asking Choso sheepishly, who was just standing on the rink and holding the railing to not slip.
He now was looking at me with his blank expression that turned slightly to a more softer one.
"Sure" he answered with a husky voice following with a nod too.

Little tingles of happiness were flowing through my body, taking a confident deep breath and gliding closer to him. "Hold my hand? And then slowly let go of the railing please." I told him kindly while offering my hand out to him.
His eyes twitching down to my hand, it looked like he was hesitating at first.
"I don't bite, Choso" I joked around with slightly flushed cheek's.
He didn't say anything and shyly took my hand in his larger once. Feeling how warm it felt like, never did I think a half curse would have such gentle hands.

Choso pulled his hand away from the railing and was now looking at me with an lost expression, not knowing what to do next.
"Alright, and now carefully march forward two steps and let your body glide forward slightly." I explain to him with a smile and continue with it. "Do this until you feel comfortable and then begin picking up one foot as you glide."
Looking now into his brown tierd eyes to see if there is any hint of confusion.
"I'm with you the whole time so..let's start off slow and just follow what I am doing if that helps you better" I spoke in a soft voice to him and he gave me a small nod. Watching me closely while trying to do the same steps and dragging him with care along me.
I hold his hand tightly to give him a safe feeling, at first he struggled but within ten minutes he became better.

"You sure learn fast, Choso. I'm proud!" I told him happily and started to rise up our speed just a tiny bit. Of course not to fast, I don't want to make the poor man fall on his butt.

"Y/n.." Choso called my name, answering him with a hum to let him know I'm listening to whatever he wants to say. He went quiet for a moment but opened his mouth to speak again. "Your hands are cold." He blurted out, I wasn't expecting him to make such a remark.
"Mhm..well and your hand is very warm." He only stared at me but broke the eye contact, pulling me towards the railing and stepping out of the rink, making me follow him.
I furrowed my brows with confusion, did I make him worry about my cold hands or why all of sudden he pulls us out.
He sat down on the bench again and I did the same as him, wanting to ask him why he decided to stop skating.

But then, before I could ask, he took both of my hands, holding them so softly that they would get hurt from to much pressure and bringing them right to his lips.
Blowing his warm breathing into my hands, he avoided to look at me. I could only stare at him with pinkish cheeks and gulping my words down. I don't even know what to say anymore, feeling all fluffy inside. So I just stayed quiet letting him do and watching him.

"Do you...feel warmer now?" He asks and gazing me with caring orbs.
I hummed as response to his question.
"Yes, much better then before. Thank you" telling him softly and then hearing Mahitos loud voice.

"You two!! Come already! We will be heading back now."

Standing together up from our place where we just sat to get back to the others but before we walked to them...

"Choso?"

He looked down to me and with that I gave him fast a sweet kiss on his cheek and rushing to the others. Leaving him behind with a shocked face and to shy to face him after the peak.

But little did we know that he froze in place and moved his hand to his cheek where y/n kissed him. Brushing his fingers against it and lips curling up to a soft smile.

Yup, this was the start of something.
