The Bond Fades Away..

Recap: And Olivia had chosen..
Me. She had chosen me. I jumped with excitement & happiness, hugging Olivia, hugging Mrs. Pruckner. Mrs. Pruckner clapped for me with a delightful smile on her face. I smiled back at her happily!
That's when I encountered Skylar, criss crossed apple sauce on the ground, arms wrapped around each other, with an angry frown.
I sat down next to her.
"You okay?" I asked Skylar.
"No." She said, still glaring at the air.
I could obviously tell she was disappointed.
But, you might be wondering, "Why is Olivia choosing you so important?" Well, it's because whoever she chooses is her favorite BFF.
Which means she'll only spend time with Mrs. Pruckner & her favorite. (Which is me.)

The Next Day

I saw Skylar, she had been second & I was first in the class. I was afraid if I went up to Skylar and said hi or something to her, she would've ignored me & emotionally embarrassed me.
"Hey Allie." Skylar said, neutrally. She still sounded dissatisfied & tired. Carter had walked in after Skylar, he looked presumably energized. And trust me, I was super good at hiding my feelings. I said, "Hey Carter!" "Hi Allie!" He said back. "I have something to tell you at recess, Allie." "Oh, um, okay then!" I felt my heart fill up with butterflies!

At Recess

I had totally forgotten about how he was supposed to tell me something at recess, that was until I saw him walking up to me while I was in the swing. Luckily, there was an empty one right next to me. Carter sat down on the swing beside me, he told me..

He had liked me back.

"Do you.. wanna date?" Carter asked.
"Sure!" I said happily.
"Alright, love you babe, I'm gonna go head with the boys."

AHH! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! 1. My crush is literally dating me! 2. He said love you! 3. And he called me babe!!
But then, I wondered after a bit, "What about Skylar? How are things going for her?"
I heard yelling & smacking about 2 meters away from me. I looked behind me while swinging, and saw Sloane's Cheer Team permanently banning Skylar from the cheer team! Now, you might be wondering. (Again.) "Who is Sloane?" "What's/Who's "Sloane's Cheer Team?" Well, let me recap you about a month or so ago.

Beware: I have no idea what or how actually they made their cheer team. 😭

Sloane: "Guys! I have an idea!"
Zari: "What is it?"
Sloane: "What if.. we make our own cheer team!"

Skylar: "..."

Sloane: "Oh, come on guys! It'll be fun!"
Zari: "...Alright, fine."
Sloane, Zari, Skylar, Amaya E & T, Ava, Lauryn: "LET'S DO THIS!"

Zari: "Okay, so the first rehearsal will be.."

Recap: Now

"B-But, why?" Skylar said, as she was about to tear up.
"Because, you just don't.. fit in." Sloane said.

Those words..

It almost made Skylar dizzy from hearing them. She felt a tear drip down her small cheek. (NOT THE BEHIND, THE FACIAL ONE 😭)
"I-I.."
"You what?" Zari said, in a sassy tone.
Skylar ran off to head to the bathroom, without asking the teacher as she saw someone about to close the door to head to the bathroom. Skylar could hear The Cheer Team laughing at her & gossiping about her.
I had heard.. everything.

I felt bad for Skylar, so I went to check on her. I had heard soft whimpers coming from Skylar. And I had saw tears drop to the floor, she was crying. As I was just about to knock & check on her, I heard the loud whistle from outside. I heard Skylar stand up and unlock the bathroom door, I sprinted out of there, so fast, that she didn't even see me.
Phew!
A few people in class asked if Skylar was okay, because she had eye bags and slightly red eyes, when I got home, something didn't feel right. Then, something came to my head. And it was bad. I had realized, that something or someone is making me have good luck, & Skylar bad luck. I researched it and it said something that broke my heart. It said, "Whom has good luck will have good luck for eternity, whilst whom has bad luck will have bad luck for eternity." I mean, yes, I was happy I was having good luck for eternity, but what about Skylar? What if she goes insane & commits suicide? I was afraid for her. It felt wrong..
