Chapter 1

ALLISON'S POV

"NO! NO! NO! PLEASE NO" my breathing slowed down begging for whatever of my life is left "I-I will do anything. just" I got on my knees and my tears starting going into my mouth "just don't do this, please." I look him straight in the eyes and he turns around to the others behind him and sigh "well?" and one of them stepped up in front of me "she could be useful. let's go" he grabbed my wrist harshly and pushed me into the van that previously got me in this situation. And just like that I was gone. I should have listened to mom!

2 days earlier

We just moved to Chicago today and quiet frankly, it's really pretty. So many attractions, and the houses are gorgeous. There's this really cool ice cream place we passed by and it's literally just 5 minutes from our house. NOTED. My dad parked in front of a beautiful 2 story house with doors as wide as a house itself and dark as midnight.

(skipping the rest of the night)

"Wake up! we gotta get you to school on time. first days are everything. Get out of bed and go eat breakfast" I huffed and turned to the other side ignoring my mom's voice. "Allison get up" she pulled down the covers off of me forcing my eyes to open "alright ma!"I slide out of bed and make my way to the shower as she steps out.

soon as i finished taking my shower, I put on my clothes and grab my phone and bag. "is that waffles?" I smiled coming down the stairs and stuffed one in my mouth. "Alright let's go" my dad shouted going out the door.

"try to make some friends at least okay Al?" my dad started the engine and I roll my eyes, "yeah dad". He turns around and sigh "i'm being serious. You haven't had another friend since Nikki die-" "DAD SHUT UP. OKAY? SHE'S-SHE'S DEAD, YES IT'S BEEN 7 YEARS OKAY? I JUST- I just want to go one school year without being reminded of that. Besides, she was the only other human who used her..brain.." I got an idea.

I've spent all my life using my common sense and smarts, I can rest for a year or two.

"why're you smiling so much? it's creepy, stop it" my dad pulls up in front of the school and I get out "because I love you so much." I close the door and he puts down the window "I expect A's?" he shouts and I smile softly "sure.." and heads in.

(end of school day)

"so see you there tonight?" she waves as she leaves. Oh yeah I made a new friend, her name is Raven (real name: Ruby Rose). She wouldn't be my first choice but she's better than none. "yeah" I nod as my dad's car pull up

"hey, so I made a friend, she invited me to that yogurt place we pass by all the time" I got in the car. "YES of course what's her name? never mind I don't care, but ask your mother first" he said excitedly.

We arrived home but mom was out looking for a job, "what time?" "what time what?" I ask confused "your friend coming to get you" he smiles and I scratch the back of my head "uh, i'm meeting her there" and go up to my room

6:00 pm

"alright, i'm leaving, see ya dad" I shout heading to the back door but I hear another voice "hold up, where you going?" my mom comes in "your dad stepped out" she added. "oh, um, someone- Raven invited me to go by the yogurt lace today to hang out. She's this girl from school. so,, bye" I open the door, but she clears her throat "what mom?" I ask and she crosses her arms over her chest "we just moved here, and a random girl invites you to hang out?" she says staring deeply "it's called being nice. Been so long it looks foreign to you, am I right?" I head out closing the door behind me and she calls out "ALLISON!" I turn around angrily "WHAT! I finally made a friend, you should be proud mom" I turn and starts walking.

I made it to the shop and saw Raven sitting with a couple of other people with some girl on her lap. "you made it" she smiled and I sat down "yeah". "Everyone this is Allison. Allison, this is my girl Miranda" she hugs the girl on her lap. "Dea, Henry,Jade,Mason,TY,and Elora." they all wave, vice versa.
