Tommy POV:

Something was seriously wrong at these Olympics, because somehow he, the boy who had never once cared for his sport, was not the most disturbing case here.

His roommate however, was. His roommate, the one who had the same name as the musician Tommy constantly listened to, the one who had vanished in a panic, the one who had returned from training too late to really have just returned from training alone, the one who was older and probably stronger then Tommy, but still terrified of him, the one who had hidden in the bathroom all night, the one who had seemed so on edge right up until the moment he ran from the cafeteria.

There was something wrong there. One thing worse then a lack of love for his sport. Something more. Something dangerous, and Tommy refused to let anyone else have a bad olympic experience. So, Wilbur was his now, his to help, to protect, to care for and most importantly his to rescue. Even if Tommy himself drowned in the process.

That's why Tommy didn't stop asking around about Wilbur. His team all had good things to say, talking about the man who wrote the music for their routines- ok Tommy admits it seemed possible that the artist and swimmer shared more then just a name- they talked about the way Wilbur treated them like family, and how they loved his humour, and how they were worried about him, most of them not remembering a time Wilbur was this skittish. Only most of them.

Eret, seemingly the one who had known Wilbur the longest, he noted that he recognised this behaviour. There was enough terror in his eyes for Tommy to keep prodding, keep pestering him, desperate to have enough information to help his roommate.

That had led Eret and Tommy to this moment, in a quiet room alone, away from prying ears.

"What's going on Eret? I only want to help," Tommy started again, trying to encourage the man to talk to him. To tell him something, anything.

"Wilbur is the kindest, funniest, friendliest person I know, he's loud and open and happy, and sure he gets anxious sometimes, but not like this. He hasn't been like this in years. I do remember it though. I'm going to tell you something, only because I'm worried about him and you as his roommate will have more chance to see him when his team isn't around to protect him."

"I won't tell anyone I promise, I just can't stand the thought of anyone else having imperfect memories of these Olympics," Tommy winced internally at the note of "anyone else" hoping Eret hadn't noticed, and seemingly, they hadn't.

"The last time Wilbur was like this... it was after we got him out of his old team. They had all decided Wilbur was only good for... romance I guess... he thought- when we found him he thought we would do that to him too... that broke my heart. We've proven to him we won't, but something has happened, please, do you know anything?"

"I... what time did you guys finish training last night?" Tommy asked, and Eret tilted his head at Tommy, clearly confused.

"We... we didn't train last night... we had the night off to unpack."

"Wilbur- he- he left almost immediately... I must've done something, he seemed upset, he left and he didn't come back until after midnight, he said he had been training but... that didn't feel right... I asked him- he- he refused to answer. He locked himself in the bathroom there and didn't come out..." Tommy explained, stumbling over his words, wishing he wasn't exposing Wilbur's secrets, but needing some help. Needing some guidance.

"That's too long..." Eret murmured, "He sometimes swims to cool off if he gets anxious, but not that much... and there's nothing you could do to cause- whatever this morning was to happen... unless- shit!"

With that, Eret was standing up and racing out of the room, Tommy right behind him, confused and uncertain, but not waiting for an explanation, not risking never getting one. Eret skidded to a stop outside a dorm- presumably his own- and scrambled with the lock for a minute.

"What's going on?" Tommy asked, needing some sort of answer.

"One thing I can think of causing this in Wilbur is his old team. I don't know how they got here, but I'm going to find out if they are right, I just have to find out who was in his team too."

Eret pulled out a laptop, searching up a specific Synchronised Swimming Competition, scrolling through the teams and stopping on one in particular team, "Nekropolis". The free team competitors were Xeno Akane, Cain Cozbi, Anwir Enyo, Bela Hadeon, Morana Jela, Harvey Pele, Hunter Sidero, Wilbur Soot.

"Harvey and Cain, I remember those two... they hurt Wilbur... the whole team did I think... maybe they're here... maybe that's what's happening?" Eret mumbled, more to himself then anything else, pulling up a website that had a list of all the Olympians at these Olympics. He searched their names.

Xeno Akane, nothing.

Cain Cozbi, nothing.

Anwir Enyo, there, that showed something. A synchronised swimmer. Someone from Wilbur's old- clearly not good- team. Tommy carefully restrained his anger at whoever this man was. He would get the full force of Tommy's anger later, but first they had to know if he has anyone else.

Clearly Eret, who's hands were now shaking with anger, agreed with Tommy, as he typed in the next name.

Bela Hadeon, nothing.

Morana Jela, nothing.

Harvey Pele, nothing.

Hunter Sidero, Tommy wished it had been nothing, but of course not. Two people who had hurt an innocent man were here, and they were trying to ruin Wilbur's Olympic experience.

Tommy didn't care for his own experience here, but he had known that if anyone who wanted to be here wasn't having a good time... well Tommy wasn't one for kind words to other people's bullies.

Words: 1000

A/N: I meant to post this yesterday but I quite literally fell asleep in the middle of typing, oops XD
