Chapter 1: Unexpected meeting

Xandria's pov

I can't believe I have a lot of documents to photocopy for my portfolio, gosh, today would be a hectic day for me.
Hopefully, I will be able to get it done on time and get to class at the exact time.

While walking, two men passed talking and laughing, one was light-skinned and slim, the other dark-skinned and chubby. The next thing that occurred was the light-skinned man turning to look at me, he had a poker face so I couldn't tell what was going through his head, but I turned away and thought nothing of it even though he was a fine and attractive young man.

I continued walking, made a turn and walked straight until I saw the copy shop in my peripheral vision, then I walked in. When I got inside, I saw there was a long queue and joined it. A few minutes after standing, the two previous men walked in and I was shocked. I saw it as a mere coincidence and just brushed it off.

Their talking and laughing continued from behind me, I simply ignored then got out my phone to make a call. When done making the call, all of a sudden Mr. Fair-skinned man who I still didn't know his name tapped me and I looked at him. "Excuse me, does this earring belong to you?", he asked. I turned to look at him and at his hand, briefly answered him no and was wondering what the hell just happened.

"Oh, I saw it on the floor and thought it belonged to you, my bad then", he said. I used that opportunity to scan him, he looked like someone who worked out, and he looked fit. I briefly looked at his friend, but didn't seem attracted in the least so didn't bother taking a good look at him.

One of the print operators motioned for them to come forward, turns out they had been inside the copy shop before they stepped outside to do whatever it was they went to do, they each collected their photocopied items, paid, and then left. While the fair-skinned man was about to leave, he gave me a lingering gaze, walked out, then he was gone.

After standing for some minutes, it was finally my turn, I handed over my documents that needed to be photocopied and then told the operator how many pages each of them should be. While the photocopier was photocopying, I brought out money from my bag, as soon as I collected it, I paid and then left.

Feeling happy I was done photocopying, I started heading towards the cafeteria to get something to eat seeing as I hadn't eaten breakfast. When I got there, I looked around the place to see if I would see familiar faces, only for me to set my eyes on Mr fair-skinned dude and his friend. "Not again, what's with me and seeing these two everywhere I go", I thought to myself.

I got my food, sat down and started eating but I couldn't help but feel someone's intense gaze at me. I dismissed the thought and carried on eating my food, when I finished eating, I left.
