Chapter 2

Ok well I found this pic and I thought it would just be funny to put it up

If litter my eyes open to see its about 2 in the morning I'm guessing because it's still pitch black.
I move the curtain from my cell and walk out looking down the cat walk seeing if anyone is awake. I begin to keep walking Intel I reach the stairs again looking around to see if anyone heard me walk to the stairs. I walk down stairs and stub my toe at the bottom
"Dammit come on maya" I notice I didn't wake anyone up I get to kitchen and get some water until I hear crying light crying.
I begin to walk back but no one on the first floor was awake so I quietly walk up stairs and the only other cell is Carl's.
I knock on the wall.
"What!" He says in an rude tone but I still here little sniffles.
He moves the curtain fast and just stares at me with his electric blue eyes.
"I'm sorry I" I stutter than relise why am I being scared, "Never mind I was just coming over here to be nice screw you.
"What!" This guy is getting me so aggravated.
"I'm sorry it's well i haven't had anyone here my age and I'm used to being treated like a damn child"
I just stared at him confused what the hell I didn't even bring up anything about a child
"I'm sorry." He says with a sincere look in his eyes.
I just nod and walk out, sorry kid I don't forgive that easily.i walk back to my cell and I notice that the sun is slowly rising. I guess I was wrong about the time. I truly suck at time. I lay back down might as well sleep for however long I have left.

ONE WEEK LATER

Life has bean pretty good lately. Carol treats me like her daughter and me and Daryl are besties he taught me to tell time to the sun and hunt with his crossbow honestly I suck at it.
"Bye Beth same time tomorrow?"
"Yep, see you later maya" she says in a light country accent.
me and Beth talk all the time behind the prison about girly things, and now I'm on my way to Carl's cell. For some reason he thinks I'm his 'therapist' every night I go to his cell right before we go to sleep and he tells me what's wrong and it can last up to 2 hours.
I knock on the wall "Carl you in there."
I walk in and he's already sleeping I laugh a little then walk out to my cell but instead go back to Beth's cell I sleep in there almost every night.
"Hey may." For some reason she always calls me may but my name is short already but I like it.
"Hey Beth, do you think the governor guy will come back." I have heard a lot about him but never seen him myself and I'm pretty scared of all the stories I have heard of him.
"To be honest I think so."
That sent a shiver down my spine.
"Well Rick is going to talk to the governor today."
I nodded and climbed on the top bunk
"Maya, can I ask you something?"
"Yeah anything."
"How was your family did you have any siblings?"
Wow she layer out her questions fast
"Beth how long have you bean thinking about this?"
"Well we talk about everything but your family, every time I bring them up you change the subject."
"Well I had a mom named Erica but we got separated in the begging my dad treated me like shit, I had one sister and I no my mom and them are alive they left a note."
"Why didn't you go with them?"
"I was sleeping at my friends house I didn't no that people were going to die then come back alive the next day." I laughed awqaurdly.
"What did the note say?"
"You have a lot of questions." I was beginning to tear up but I didn't want to make her feel bad for asking me these questions so I sucked it up.
"Sorry."
"It's fine." I went I my pocket and pulled the note out and handed it to Beth.
I remember it word for word.
"Dear maya,
I hope you made it home to read this, we aren't far but we keep moving were heading to Washington please meet us there. I love you baby girl
Your mommy daddy and penny"
Penny was written messy obviously she wrote that
"I'm so sorry maya" Beth looked at me and hugged me crying herself making me finally cry
"I was looking for them but I got lost and gave up about two months ago"
"Maya don't forget about your shift its in 10 minutes I'm going to wake Carl." Rick barged in.
"Damn I totally forgot about my shift tonight. Well I'll see you for breakfast Beth goodnight."
"Night maya."
I walked out the same time Carl was coming down the stairs
"Hey Carl."
"You didn't come to my cell."
"Yes I did you were sleeping." I said laughing as I opened the front door.
We walk in silence on the way to the guard tower when I hear moaning and light whispering.
"Holy shit guys we have to go up there I don't want to be where you guys did IT."
Maggie and Glenn looked at us
"You heard us." Glenn's cheeks got so red I'm uncontrollably laughing next to Carl
"The whole prison heard you." Carl butt in
"You guys are so loud. It's disgusting."
"Just wait to you guys do it."
I looked at Glenn wide eyed the hell did you say
"Glenn!" Maggie slapped his arm.
I looked the walkers so they couldn't see me blushing when I saw her.
