THE CHEF AND THE CHORE BOY
"How's he doing?" Usopp asked walking in.
"He hasn't said a word." Luffy replied, Sora stuck her head on his chest her hair falling across him.
"His heart is still beating...I think." She paused, before raising her head and smiling at Usopp.
"Didn't Zeff say we're supposed to talk to him? Tell him stories?" Usopp then asked, leaning on the rope.
"What would I say?" Luffy asked.
"Whatever pops in your head. Just...speak from the gut." Usopp reassured, glancing at Sora. She just shrugged.
"My gut hasn't been so great lately." Luffy smiled.
"Well...at least he'll know it's you." Usopp said, a pang of sadness in his tone. "What do you got to lose?" He slowly backed away.
"Hey, Zoro. What's up?" Luffy asked, Sora just let out a large sigh.
"What's up?" She repeated. They all paused. "Go on then..."
"I just wanted to tell you that... Let me start over." His voice sunk for a moment, regaining his thoughts. "I'm just gonna... Hi, Zoro. Hi. You know, it's-"
"Luffy!" Nami interrupted the boys heart to heart. They all turned to the noise. "Luffy!"
As they decided to investigate what she was yelling about, Sora leant over Zoro placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
The three walked into the kitchen seeing Nami and Sanji. "The Arlong Pirates are at the Baratie. We have to leave now."
"What? Why? Why should we leave?" Luffy said, looking around at everyone.
"Because they're looking for you." Nami said, fearfully.
"Me?" Luffy asked, pointing towards himself.
"And the map." Nami added. "Those fishmen will tear this place apart if Zeff doesn't turn him over." She said to them.
"Where are you going?" Luffy asked.
"If Baratie's in danger, I need to be there." Sanji rushed off. Sora placed her hands on his chest stopping him from going much further.
"We can't let you go alone." She said, glancing towards her crew to look for any agreement.
"Yes, I'm coming with you." Luffy said, nodding his head at Sora.
"Did you not hear what I just said?" Nami asked, stopping Sanji from saying no to there offers. "They are hunting you. We need to run."
"I'm with Nami on this one. I'm really not trying to ruffle any feathers or scales-" Usopp tried.
"Fine. If you two want to run away and let the Arlong Pirates hunt you down, be my guests. But I won't let innocent people be hurt." Sora stood up, her eyes tore into Nami's. Both having an internal battle of what to do.
"Exactly." Luffy agreed, breaking the girls' eye contact. "I'm not running. We need to protect this place."
"This isn't your fight." Sanji said, looking at Sora and Luffy. "Why would you do that?"
"You fed us." Luffy said with a smile.
"Look, I know this crew. Their captain, Arlong, has the highest bounty in all of the East Blue. You do not want to mess with him." Nami tried to warn them once more.
"It sounds like he messed with us first." Luffy argued back.
"Luffy, please." Nami begged. "Please."
