Your heartbeat sped up, breathing deeper as Bill lifted you into his slender arms.
"Woah," you marveled, "You're strong for someone with such thin limbs."
He chuckled a little. "Thinking ya' have to have chunks of meat in your arms to be strong completely excludes a ton of beings across the multiverse!
In a lotta cases, muscles are on creatures who lack a stronger power than physical force!"
You tried not to smile.
He was kind of cute when he told you about these kind of things, not that you wanted to think it.
Little facts about the multiverse, everything from the farthest stretches away to the big puddle in the middle of your planet, you couldn't tell if he was telling you out of his own interest or just to make you blush.
"The pod is only a few miles off, and they actually have a couple of calves," Bill told you, "Ya' know you're lucky we decided to do this!
Mother whales are pretty protective, so you may not get to ever see one up close otherwise."
Could be a bit of both.
You were kind of hesitant to grab onto him back.
"You're gonna wanna hold on tight, doll-UH-(y/n)!" He floated up a little, having corrected himself.
Taking note, you leaned in a bit closer.
Aside from the night you spent thinking it was all a dream, Bill hadn't been this close to you before.
His little tie was inches from your face... your head grazed the front of his body next to it.
You held up the shield on the other side of you, trying not to lean to far the opposite way.
It didn't matter though, once he started moving, the force of the water came at you FAST!
The side of you trying not to fall too close towards Bill was rammed right into him!
Your blood-rushed face was resting on his comforting exoskeleton, the shield on the other side of your body taking on the water pressure as you carved through it.
With you cradled in his arms like a fluffy kitten in a basket, a bit of the tensity died down.
His yellow glow reflected off your eyes, and surely the rest of your warm face.
How do you even admit it, that being up against him like this felt right.
As the gray ocean bent around you, a much stronger force than the sea arose from inside you.
Stronger than the sea, the sky, the earth that held them down, or the infinite space that surrounded was the feelings that were growing for him.
You no longer resisted inertia, and started to lean on him freely.
The emotions brewing deep in your soul were determined to be true in long forgotten times, and would live long after the world no longer spun.
Your thoughts interupted you, "Pull yourself together, (y/n)!"
This whole thing, as enchanting as it may be, you couldn't let yourself fall into something so... so... Oh, there had to be something else to say besides "weird!"
