"Sunghoon."

"Ara."

The two walked along the street in mid daylight, wrapped in multiple amounts of clothing as the winter air surrounded them.

"What'd you want to talk about?" Ara asks, looking up at the boy. "Do you believe in fate?"

"Why are you asking?"

Sunghoon shrugs. "Apparently.. If you suddenly fall in love, it's the red string of fate. If you suddenly fall out of love, it means it's been broken."

Ara nods slowly, having no clue what he was trying to say. "Someone told me that..."

"Told you what?"

Sunghoon looks at Ara before looking away. "Someone told me that if the string of fate is broken, it means one of them will die. Do you think it's true?"

"It is true."

His eyes widened at the familiar voice. He looked to his side where Ara stood, now seeing Cheonsa in the same clothes.

"Ara's at home now, asleep. She won't remember what just happened."

The boy stood there dumbfounded as she continued to walk. "Well catch up."

The boy quickly walked towards her and hold her arm, looking down at her. "How.. how could you."

"How could I what?" She smiles, the boy letting go of her and running his fingers through his hair. "You know what I mean. How could you just.. leave."

Cheonsa started walking slowly again, the boy walking beside her. "It was my mission Sunghoon. I had to complete it." Is all she says, causing the boy to scoff.

"So everything, every single memory, everything we've done together, was all part of the mission?"

She stays silent for a couple seconds.

"My mission was to stay close to you. Ever since we were kids, while I had no memories of the mission, it made me naturally want to be close with you. Later on I remembered who I was, and I continued on. I could've been an enemy, but I chose not to."

"So basically you never meant anything."

"Sunghoon you know that's not true."

"Well how am I supposed to believe that?!"

The girls stops in her tracks. "The mission was to be close to you. It soon shifted to making sure you and Ara were together. That was my mission."

The boy slowly closed his eyes and looked away, feeling as though everything he knew was a lie.

"So what are you doing now then huh? Come back because Ara and I broke up?"

The girl nods. "Oh wow, well I don't know how you're gonna get us back together." He grumbles, continuing to walk along the footpath.

"I'm not here for that. I'm here because the red string of fate broke."

"Why? You going to mend it back together?"
