Nico's POV
It's now the next day and Matteo and Alex will be taking Natalia and I shopping for everyday things and school supplies.
I woke up this morning and went to see Nat so we can go down for breakfast together. We started sleeping in separate rooms now, with her room right across from mine.
Knocking on Nat's bedroom door before walking in, I found Nat sitting on her bed reading a book. "Nat, you ready to go down for breakfast." I asked her, breaking her out of her own little dreamland.
"Um.. yeah, give me a second." She said back without looking up from the book. I walked towards her and said, "You know we have to go shopping after breakfast, so we better get down there before Matteo comes gets us."
While putting her book down on the edge of the bed Natalia got up and walked out the door with me following her while she said, "Yeah. Let's go eat so we can get shopping over with."
We both got downstairs and went to the dining. "Morning" Nat and I mumbled when we entered the dining room and saw dad, uncle Dan, Alex, and Teo. "Good morning kiddos." Said dad back to us while drinking his black coffee.
Natalia sat down at her seat as well as I. Matteo brought us our breakfast and gave us a smile. Our breakfast was a common American breakfast, pancakes, eggs, and bacon.
Dante and Alex were having a conversation while Matteo was on his phone, and Nat and dad were talking about her joining ballet. I was eating my breakfast in silence. I like quiet in the morning, it helps me clear my mind.
Matteo finally put his phone down and asked Nat and I, "So you kids ready to go shopping with uncle Alex and I?" While smiling at us.
"I don't really like shopping but for today maybe." Natalia answered him with a small, soft smile. Matteo frowned at the beginning but then smiled widely towards the end of her sentence. "What about you Nico?" Asked uncle Alex.
"I don't really mind, I need to be in a new environment anyways." I told Alex. Nat smiled at me with a small sad smile and copied her action.
I have to have different environments to escape to. I can't stay in one place to long or I start to spiral. It has happened before and Nat had to see it, and if anything is for sure I don't want her to see me in that state again. So going out will help clear my mind and keep me from spiraling.
Natalia and I may be 6 years old but we have experienced some things no 6 year old should.
After a few minutes everyone was done eating and uncle Dante and dad were heading off to work. "Alright kiddos I'm off to work. Behave,-" dad said and then turned to uncle Alex and Teo and continued "-you boys better watch them." He said with a pointed look.
Alex responses with, "We will take care of our niece and nephew. No need to become our dad too." Along with a eye roll. Dad shook his head and walked over to us giving both Nat and I a kiss on the top of our heads, before saying his final byes and heading off to work.
"Who is ready to go shopping!?" Uncle Teo shouted. While running out to the car. Natalia jumped out of her seat running after him yelling, "Wait for me!" Uncle Alex was already walking out after them so I followed behind.
