The moment Shu stepped out, she looked like she'd been lifted out of the pit of darkness, granted the chance to bask in the sunlight again. Even so, she didn't care about the sunlight, the people watching her in a mocking way—what she cared for was to look for the man she'd been wanting to see.

She looked left and right, and finally found the said man standing behind her with a welcoming smile. Even if she's being exiled right now, her lips became a smile of genuine happiness, innocence, and bliss. She and Asahi walked together with the guards behind them leading where they should be.

From a far off distance, (Name) and Ayato stood together, side by side. The hood to cover her face was pulled back, and a cold sting touched her cheek, resulting her to jolt in shock. Ayato had placed the boba tea on her cheek playfully to catch her attention. Which he succeeded in attaining it.

(Name) turned to look at him. "That's quite rude of you," she replied lightheartedly. "Is that so? I apologize. I couldn't help myself when I see a lady like you standing out here alone," he replied back, teasing her. He then handed the drink to her, standing in silence now as they watched the scene together.

"Are you alright, Mistress (Name)?"

"Hm," she hummed shortly. "I'm alright. What makes you think I'm not alright?"

A slurp before he replied, "Nothing. I know your strength, but sometimes a strong warrior can still weep when he must face his family in battle."

The sweetness spread along her tongue and the roof of her mouth. But not enough to sweeten the bitter taste of the words about to roll off her tongue. "It is true, she's the only last standing family that's active. My mother is still bed ridden, and I'm the sole heiress of my family."

Her gaze turned to look at him, refreshed with the kindness he bestowed with his gaze. "But it doesn't matter now. What passed, has passed." She didn't plan to hold onto the fruit of regret, there was no need for her to hold onto the her grudge. "What about you?"

Ayato glanced down at her, giving her an inquiring look before turning his gaze back to where Shu had disappeared to. He hummed for a while, before finally answering, "Personally, I'd reason with her first. If nothing comes out of it, I'll punish her for her crimes."

"All alone?"

"All alone."

(Name) scoffed upon hearing his reply. Short, concise, yet the lonesome haunting his voice was still apparent. "You helped me from the start till now. If you have anything you need help with, then come and find me."

"An invitation?" He turned to look at her, a knowing smile danced on his face. "Well, my duel with your aunt hasn't ended. Since she can't finish the duel anymore, how about you finish it in her stead?"

Nothing but the peaceful wind blowing to where the Anemo Archon blew to, sending messages that people couldn't convey. Whenever his lilac eyes gleamed under the sunlight, a surge of wind came blowing her, as if pushing her to say something she'd been meaning to say.

Her face painted a smile, highlighted her eyes with the glint of bliss and serene. How serendipitous she was, to be granted the opportunity of having someone by her side. "I accept your offer. Let's finish it right here and now."

While the night outside lulled people to slumber, (Name) still remained awake in her office. Her head was at the edge of falling and hitting the table's surface. Eyelids had grown long heavy. She couldn't function at this sleepy state. In the end, she chose to walk out of her office down to the dark and empty hall.
