You skipped the Triwizard Tournament event. Draco told the others that you were feeling sick from the antidote but you would be better soon.

You didn't think you would ever feel better. You were embarrassed and sad and angry. You were a Black, you should've had more dignity but you didn't.

Hermione had been nicer to you, almost like she cared about your wellbeing, but you doubted it would last long.

The way Krum and Fleur treated you kindly just put you on edge, you've been nothing but a bitch to them.

Draco was the same old except he looked at you like you were fragile, like anything could break you. Which made you want to turn him into a ferret.

The worst was Katie and George. You never saw them, as you rarely left your room for anything besides lessons, so your imagination ran wild.

Hermione came in from the event freezing with soaking wet hair. She filled you in on the details before changing and crawling into bed.

A little while after everyone had gone to sleep a knock came on your door. You went and answered it to find a note laying there.

Black. That's what the envelope said. You picked it up and looked at Hermione's bed, she was still there, sleeping soundly. You looked at the seal, it was just a simple diamond, stamped in dark green wax.

You closed the door and climbed onto your bed, drawing the curtains close around you before lighting your wand and carefully opening the letter.

Y/n Johnson,

Clever choice of last name. Not a complete  lie but not technically the truth, now is it? I know it isn't.

I find it interesting that you came to this school. I mean, it's not your first Wizarding school in your lifetime but it seems that you feel it's your last. It very well may be if not for the reason your thinking.

You seem decently inteligent, my dear, but you don't seem to understand how simple something like, say, lying about your name, can make people mistrust you.

You claim you mean no harm, that you don't want to be like your family, but then why hide your true identity? Shame? Fear? Or maybe because you know that deep down you want to live up to the Black family name. Not those blood traitors, Sirius and Regalus, but to real wizards. Your real blood.

Keep this in mind, while you sit on your bed, throwing yourself a pity party, she's with your man, she's seeking to out you, and he is coming back. That's the truth, whether you like it or not.

One more thing, girl, I know who you are and the Lord doesn't take to traitors kindly.

___

April came around, meaning Easter was too, and you were not looking forward to seeing your biological family.

You wished you hadn't agreed to Draco's proposal but you knew he hated it there too so both of you would have to suffer.

Katie was going to the Burrow with George, you heard Ron and Harry talking about it. You almost threw up in a potted plant.

Katie was all giddy about it and you wanted to shove a mandrake in her big mouth. No one had told George McClaggen drugged you with a love potion. You easily could have, you could make him pity you and feel bad he gave up on you so easily. Make him want you again. But that was a Black thing, and despite what that cryptic letter said, you did not want to live up to the Black family name.

___

George knew he made a mistake as soon as he asked Katie if she wanted to go to the Burrow with them for the holidays. She of course wanted to, he of course didn't want her to.

He didn't really know why he asked. He had liked Katie at one point and he once did find her charming and funny but now...he didn't.

He desperately wanted to break up with her but every time he was going to she looked at him so brightly and happily it made him want to die. Soon it was too close to Easter for him to call it off.

He was on the train platform with Fred and Katie, waiting to board the steam engine. Fred had been acting weird the past few weeks. George had seen him talking to Malfoy in hushed tones a few times and he even had talked to you.

That's what George didn't like, though he would never admit it to George he assumed his brother already knew. George hadn't talked to you since that very strange day in the empty classroom. He couldn't. If he did he would probably do something very stupid.

Like kiss you.

He looked at you now, laughing with Malfoy. He wished you could be by his side instead of Katie, your hand in his. Then a stab of guilt shot through his chest. He did like Katie, but more as a friend. However, he was going to stay loyal. He might have been too much of a bastard to stop dating her but he wasn't going to cheat, or think about other girls. His focus was going to be on her the whole time between now and when they finally got to break up.
