Holly's POV
***Everything is telling me to stay in bed right now as I open my eyes to the sound of my alarm. The beeping continues as I bring a hand to my face to rub the sleepiness from my eyes, and when I remember JJ and I have to be at the venue for today's Sidemen Sunday by twelve makes me want to cry. I roll over in bed and check my phone for the time.
11:00
And now I only have an hour. Why didn't I set an alarm?
I run a hand through my hair as I sit up in bed. My neck protests slightly at the quick movement but the pain simmers down a few seconds later. Thankfully, My hair doesn't feel greasy, and I thank the gods for not making me rush into the shower to fix the problem. I HATE having greasy hair and walking around with it makes me feel icky.
I slip out of bed and rub my eyes. For a minute, I consider the possibility of telling JJ that I'd much rather stay home than join him at Sidemen filming, but then I remember that after filming, we're going to a football pitch so the boys can practice for their charity match. I don't want to miss out on seeing the boys and the other creators at the pitch, so I decide I should go along as planned.
I pull on a cute white shirt and tie the knots on each side. The laces of the bows brush the top of my waist and I pair the top with my favourite pale pink cargos that Ella got me from Zara last time she went to the mall. I drag a brush through my hair and twist it into a very problematic messy bun. As long as it's out of my face, I do not care.
For my makeup, I keep it simple. It's going to be an absolute sweltering day, so I prep my face with moisturizer, dab on a bit of concealer under my eyes, and apply my eyeliner. I dab on some lipgloss and brush through my eyelashes with some mascara. I'm already sweating through my makeup routine, I have no idea how I'll survive on the pitch - let alone how the guys will.
Once I'm done getting ready, I notice it's almost half past eleven and I chuck my power bank into my bag to make sure my phone has enough charge all day. I then make my way down the landing and downstairs where I hear voices emerging from the kitchen.
"Hey," I announce, finding a seat at the breakfast counter.
"Morning, you," Ella smiles. "You slept in today, didn't you?"
I shrug. "I was tired."
JJ and I share eye contact as he sips his coffee at the kitchen table. I take it he hasn't told Ella about Ryan's little visit to the house last night, which is strange, considering he tells her everything.
"How's your neck?"
"Oh...It's alright," I reply, rubbing the back of it. "Just a bit sore"
"Well take a painkiller after breakfast. Speaking of which, eat up, my love," Ella smiles, handing me a plate of fried eggs with hashbrowns and bacon. "You and your dad have to head off in ten minutes"
"Thanks, Ella"
I sit down next to JJ and start eating. Ella leaves the kitchen and with the sound of the bathroom door shutting, he clears his throat and puts his phone down on the table.
"So," he says, folding his arms across his chest. "You okay after last night?"
"Does Ella know about Ryan's visit?"
JJ shakes his head. "Nah, she doesn't need to know. All that matters is that you're okay"
"Right"
There's silence as JJ looks at me.
"So are you?"
"Huh?"
"Are you okay?"
"Ugh, I don't really know. It was just weird. I have so many questions yet Ryan refuses to answer and then he acts like he doesn't want me, but he does, and then he tells people we're friends, but we've kissed before, so I don't know-"
