REWINDING THE FORBDDEN TIME

Chapter 3

I AM RUNNING AWAY FROM HIM BUT HE KEEPS ON FLOWING ME finally I stop and take the rose he is giving me. " You have to take this," he says giving me not so romantic look like you would think the situation is perfect for instead he just has an unreadable serious expression. " This is not the same rose I gave you that day but as long you can't find that one use this one for your wishes" he leaves as soon as finishes his sentence. I stare at his back and keep watching him walk away.

I wake up feeling like someone is shaking me. I look up and see Albert staring at me with a concerned look on his face. "Are you alright? you were looking like you were having a nightmare. he asks me while handing me a glass of water. " Don't worry nothing will happen to her she will be alright."

I then turn to look at Han's sleeping figure. Looks like I fell asleep while taking care of her in the chair beside her bed. She didn't wake up at all tomorrow after fainting so I couldn't leave here or her. The doctor came late at night and said that it was because she was too stressed and that she would wake up after some time making me sigh a breath of relief. But she hasn't even woken up till now and it looks like it's the next day.

"She's the most health freak person I know, I thought it's got to do with her not taking care of her body. Trust me I know she wakes me up at 5 a.m. to do meditation with her for a healthy body and mind" Albert says taking a seat right beside me. " Well, whatever it is it's because she's here and that's what I know for a fact."

"Yeah right.... I might not know the reason, but I don't think that's the case." "Then what do you think happened?" I ask. "You know for us normal people family means a lot. For you, it might be different but for Han, it's not. Han sees you as a family she might not admit it in her mouth. And for her only family to not contact or call you for like four years feels like sh*t. Trust me I know how it felt because I felt the same when dad left after finding out mom had cancer and didn't think about contacting me." Albert takes a big sign and then continues, " She's still young talk with her and give her the care she needs I know you care about her."

Albert's words feel like a slap to my face have I actually been this awful to her? All my life any person that I let come close to my heart got hurt. That's why I kept pushing Han away. That day when she saw me trying to end my life that I knew wouldn't work I was just holding for amusement for my twisted mind. But when I turned around and saw Han there, I felt terrible. I knew how bad this might affect her, so I quickly tried to hide it, but the damage was already done. That's why when she said she wanted to work here I couldn't say no to her I thought what she needed was space but after today Albert's words make me think that it might not be the case.

"I will take her to the city with me," I say after sitting in silence for a few minutes. " But she hasn't woken up yet how are you going to do that?" Albert asks, "I will call a helicopter or something if doesn't wake up by the end of this day. " I answer." " Oh yeah you could do that just make sure it's safe."

Oh, this is amusing. After me, Albert might be the coldest person I know of he was only soft for his mother who passed away. Now he might be this jokingly funny old guy with me but that's because he's just grateful for what I did for his mom. He's the coldest to anyone else. Even when he was my assistant, he used to keep the other employees on their toes. But his concern for Zhou seems genuine. He sees Han as his child. I think I can use this.

" I didn't know you cared so much about Han," I say, and it looks like that it took him by surprise as well. Looks he just realized it after I said it. "It seems so," he says while looking at Han." " I want Han to take my place first she will start with the small projects but slowly she will replace to me with everything. I finish taking a glance at Albert. His expression tells me that I got him. "You're telling me that you want to make Han suffer, "he says. "I never said That I wanted her to suffer". "But you are doing exactly that. That place is continuously filled with people who want to take you down. They are unable to do that because they don't know what you look like. But when Han takes your place that won't be the case their target will have a face now. I can't say it nicely no matter how I try so I hope you know that your million-dollar industry is filled with snacks that will waste no time to bite you. " So, you knew," I say with a smirk cutting him. "Well, I needed to know when you get exposed as a nonhuman so I can pack my bags and leave before that." He says with an expressionless face. I roll my eyes at his words. " Do have to make Han face all that? He asks with obvious concern. " I have to, you are seeing what leaving alone has done to her she has to be with me now. I say with an expressionless face. " But does it have to be her taking your place? He asks. "Unfortunately, yes, the technology has developed a lot over time. It's become too tiresome to hide my face now. I would have just left the company if many people's jobs didn't depend on it. I can't just leave and make them suffer what the company needs now is a face they can rely on." "And you think Han can do that?" he asked. "As you have seen Han is a born leader the way she leads people around her is the perfect example that she's the right person for it." I finish resting my head on the bed again. My head suddenly feels Heavy. " I'm concerned for her it's a lot of responsibility" he finally admits. I smile and say " Then return with us" this is what I wanted him to say to him all along. I never planned on leaving Han alone, but Albert doesn't need to know that if he could guide Han in the company then I wouldn't have any more worries. " I can't, you know why I left there don't you?" He says. " I know but I think you have been far for long enough to heal I think you can return now. You don't have to reply now think for some time then reply" I quickly added. " I will think about it," he says. By saying that he will think about it means that he will consider it. Which is good enough for now, I have my other ways to make him accept my offer if he doesn't. But that's for later.

"I will ask the maids to prepare breakfast for you guys." he stands up and leaves. Han looks like she's in deep sleep, giving me time to think about that dream.

I don't dream I haven't seen a dream in I don't know how many years. My body is stuck in a time rotation. Ever since that incident that happened when I first came to this castle, it's been like this ever since. I don't age, I don't dream, I don't get hurt, I don't taste food anything that makes someone a human I don't have it. I'm basically just a human shell. But today I dreamed of something. This is not supposed to happen. What changed? Why now? And why him of all the people I could dream about it had to be him. The person I wanted to forget. It's because of this place, isn't it? Coming here was a mistake, I will take Han and leave this place as soon as she wakes up.

A sudden movement from Sujan brought me out of my thoughts. Yawning as soon as she wakes up then starts stretching her body. She looks more like a person who just woke up from a deep sleep rather than a person who lost consciousness and fainted. She opens her eyes and looks around with confusion until her eyes land on me.
