Let's Rewind
"Eden look at me." I said as I looked at her, my eyes glued to her. "If you have to do this do it, remember what I told you."
"Do whatever it takes, do whatever you must." I said as I reminded her, reassuring her.
She nodded her head, tears still rolling down her face.
There was a noise, a gunshot.
Bang.
Everything in the room went still—everything seemed like it was moving in slow motion but then, there was another gunshot.
Bang.
The sound of bullets dropping to the ground broke the silence, it was no longer quiet.
Was that it?
Was my life really over?
Eden cried out as she dropped the gun, tears rolling down her face.
It felt like the impossible had just been done.
Eden had just killed her own father.
I ran over to her, shielding her eyes from his body.
"Eden, we have to find Madeleine now." I said as I looked at her.
"She's not here." Eden said as she looked at me, desperately shaking her head.
"What do you mean she's not here, Eden?" I questioned her as I looked at her in disbelief.
"Where is she?" I questioned her again as I searched her eyes.
"She has been with my mother this entire time, Hunter." She said as she looked at me.
"What are you talking about? What are you trying to say?" I questioned her again.
"We don't have time for this right now, we need to go now." She said as she dried her tears and began walking away from me.
I grabbed her by her arm and pulled her back to me.
"You need to explain everything to me right now!" I raised my voice as I looked at her.
