"Stop running, you thief!" I'd hear the guard yell. As I hopped the rooftops of Raevenglenn, the guards would always chase me from below. "Alina Lightcloud, you are under arrest for stealing food from the plaza!" The head guard called out to me. "That's if you can catch me, Suckers!" With every leap I hopped, I always felt graceful in the wind of it. The necklace around my neck glistened in the sunlight, My moon kissed white hair shimmers like stars in the sunlight. And my crystal, moonlit purple eyes glisten in the sight. Then out of nowhere, my comrades finally caught up to me after their heists. "haha, Food again, really Ali??" One of them asked me while laughing. "Oh come on, after my dad's death, we have been starving badly, so it's the only thing I can afford, unlike you, Melina, who stole basically from rich aristocrats. How's Navi holding up??" I questioned one of my friends. Suddenly, a boy, wearing perfect thievery clothes and who was also the same age as me shows up gracefully to the scene. "Did somebody call my name?" Navi spoke suavely. "This is why I'm marrying you, Navi honey!" Melina exclaims in thrills.

Melina and Navion (or Navi) have been my best friends since I was a young kid, after my dad's death. They showed me that sometimes, you have to embrace life, even if you're on your last breath. Just as we were about to leap over the dance hall, I crashed down below into the dressing room. "Alina!!! you okay?!" Navi panicked. "I'm fine, whoever I landed on though isn't," I assured him. the poor dancer is out like a light. "Hang on Alina, We'll get you out!" Melina cried to me. "Oh no...Mel, they're here. We got to leave her. Ali, don't let them find you. Blend in!" my friends suddenly left into the night. I looked around the room full of costumes and found a dancer's garments.

The bodice was sewn with fine jewels and smooth royal silks. And the skirt was pure black, lined with royal purple and silver. "And now, Our lucky performer for this evening shall perform their special dance in 20 minutes!" I hear someone announce. I put on the dress and quickly got ready. When I looked into the mirror, I saw the actual dancer in my reflection. I checked on him to see if he was hurt or not from my fall. On them is a scarf to hide their face. I suddenly untied it to reveal that the dancer is a boy. "Well this is a... weird surprise." I brushed his brown hair out of his face. His forehead has a birthmark shaped like a diamond. "Just like the Empress..." I murmured. As the curtains began to rise, I got into position. Not knowing any dances, while holding on to my necklace, and I didn't know the boy was staring right at me.

Marion's POV

When I claimed consciousness, I saw a goddess-like woman with white hair in a dancer's garment, but something about her is...off. It's like she is truly divine. On the other hand, a shadow is covering her divine essence. Just who is she? The drums began to pound and the instruments cried. I then hear her sing in an unknown language. The way she danced looked like an ancient dance, a dance no one has ever seen before. she looked beautiful. Alongside the dance, a strong magic power started to glow around her. The grace she has brought with her has made the audience, including the royal guards, roar like thunder and amazed in amusement. As she danced, I caught a glimpse of her radiant purple eyes within her moon kissed hair. "Beautiful.." I muttered underneath my breath. The climax of her dance had finally came and her magic formed a woman with a piercing gold eye. Her other eye had been cloaked by her dark blue hair. Her gaze fixed to me and the guards spotted me as well. "No...she can't be.. Guards! Seize that dancer and the boy! They're coming with us." When her dance was finished, she suddenly fell over. I was able to catch her in time, but for the shadow woman, she disappeared. Leaving behind a breeze from the roof saying "Protect my Shining Light..." out of fear and astonishment, I only said one word. "Celestina?"

Alina's POV

When I woke up, I saw the boy from the dance hall. "Ah, you're awake!" He suddenly got a cold cloth and placed it on my forehead. "That was some unique dance back there...when did you learn it?" the boy asked me with amazement in his eyes. "What? Oh... the dance hall. I completely forgot. Look, I just listened to the music and lost consciousness. I don't remember what I did." I answered honestly. "The Dance of the Shadow Queen. Only those who have the blood of Celestina can perform it. How did you even know that Alina Lightcloud?" I looked at who said that and saw a small, wise, elderly woman with the royal crown jewels of the Grand Empress. She walked towards us with formality and grace. "Grandmother, how do you know her..?" The boy asked the woman. The elderly woman chuckled. "You heard what Celestina said back there at the dance hall Marion, 'Protect my Shining Light... ' she means this young girl here."
