"Nope," Pond teased, chuckling when Winny tried to punch his abs.

"I haven't come back since last year, and you already found my replacement; who is that?" Winny huffed.

"Phuwin," Pond murmured. A bad idea clicked inside him. He could use Winny to hurt Phuwin's feelings. His husband's glassy eyes should give him the ultimate satisfaction, right? but, weirdly, it did not. Phuwin's sad face made his heart twinge instead.

"Can I talk to my husband?" Phuwin finally spoke up after minutes of silence.

"Woah, husband?" Winny gasped. "I didn't know..."

Pond let Phuwin pull him away from Winny and followed him to the front door. He didn't know what to expect from Phuwin. Was he angry or sad? Would he punch him? His breath hitched when Phuwin pulled their faces closer. Phuwin's icy, cold palms pressed against his cheeks made him shudder.

"Can I kiss you?" Phuwin asked, gazing at Pond. "Silent. Means yes. I'm going to kiss my husband in three... two... one."

Time stood still for Pond when their lips pressed together. He was enchanted by it. Phuwin kissed him softly-a simple peck-but it did make butterflies inside his stomach flap like crazy. He was blushing profusely when Phuwin pulled away because Pond was actually leaning for more. Pond's entire being felt warm and fuzzy when Phuwin hugged him.

"Wish me luck. I'm going on a mission tonight. Good night," Phuwin whispered as he kissed Pond's red ear and walked toward their apartment door.

Pond's body turned cold again when he saw Phuwin's retreating back. He already missed him.

A month has passed since they started living together. Nothing changed; both were so busy with work that they didn't see each other at all. Pond usually comes home around midnight. When he arrived, Phuwin was already asleep. He assumed he was because his bedroom always looked dark.

His mother wanted to visit them at their apartment, but Pond had given her tons of reasons not to. For now, he said that they were busy and barely at home. Well, he was not lying. His company's next project was to build Nwit Mall's first indoor theme park. There was a lot of important decision-making involved in the project, including reading reports, tons of paperwork, and meetings that he had to attend. He didn't want to let his father down.

The sound of someone opening his office door made him realize that he had been in this sitting position for too long. Straightening his back, he yawned tiredly. His personal assistant was smiling brightly as he walked in, carrying bulky files in his arms.
