The camera pans across mountains and rivers eventually reaching a temple miles away from civilization. There sits Liu Kang the protector of earthrealm as he meditates patiently, he opens his eyes as he senses a presence behind him. Sand starts surrounding Liu Kang as he stands up.

Liu Kang states, "Precisely and knowing Xyron, he's gonna take action and release a aura so big it will attract all forces within the netherrealm and beyond. I fear that enemies like Shang Tsung and Quan Chi will try to retrieve it, and if they do...it may spell the end for all realms." Geras waves his hand once more and removes the image as the sand around them disperses
"This is why we need to retrieve it before anyone else can get their hands on it." Gears says, "Right then I will summon three of our champions to retrieve this relic." Liu Kang says, "I'll be off now, I'll update you of the situation if anything changes." Sand surrounds Geras as he disappears.
