It was late and syreni always hated going to bed , mainly because of the dreams she always had of these poor women who say a big speech and get beheaded with blue spilling out of their necks . Though those are just dreams , but then why do they feel so real ?
She pushes the thought out of her head and and grabs a book .
"The tales and myths of Scottish lochs "
Syreni loved this book .
She likes to think that her mum gave her it before leaving but all the other kids say that's not true and to just accept that her mother never loved her , and left her for dead . Even her best friend thought this . Yes, she never said anything, but she could tell through the way she looks at her whenever syreni takes out the book and looks at the cover of it for a Few seconds before reading it .
Snapping out of her thoughts , she hears a faint , tired voice .
"Syreni? What are you doing out of bed dear ? "
Thank the lord that it was only Eliza ,
If it were the watch ladies she would be six feet under .
"Sorry mrs , I was gonna get water but I didn't know it was so late ."
Eliza gives her a knowing look with the corners of her mouth perched in a sweet but subtle smile.
"Be back by dawn . And be careful "
The end of her sentence sounding more stern before she turns her heal and heads back to her room lightly closing the door making sure no one hears a single noise that could possibly wake anyone .
Syreni smiled and walked down the hallway checking if anyone is guarding the doors before concluding that the cost is clear .
She walked for fifteen minutes before smiling looking over her favourite place to go at night .
The beach .
