[01] // Short story one: // 3 friends!

Maddy and her friends Emma, Dariel, and Alex were heading to high school, looking forward to their first day of sophomore year. Maddy was a bubbly and energetic girl who loved to make new friends and try different activities. Emma was a bit shyer, but she always had Maddy's back. Dariel was handsome and athletic and he always made Maddy's heart skip a beat. Alex was an old friend from middle school who was more of an extrovert, but he always looked out for the shy Emma. Their first day of school would be one they would never forget.

As they approached the school gates, Maddy's heart started to race. "Hey, are you guys excited?" Maddy asked her friends. Alex nodded eagerly, "Yeah, this is going to be great!" Emma and Dariel both nodded in agreement. As they passed through the gates, they began to look around the school. Dariel was scanning for his crush, while Emma was nervously clinging to Maddy's arm. Alex was pointing out a few things to them, while getting excited to start his sophomore year.

By the time the first period bell rang, the group had explored the whole school. Emma was relieved to have Maddy by her side, while Dariel was anxiously hoping to find his crush. Alex was excited to be with his friends, while Maddy was eager to make some new friends. As they headed towards their classes, they met up with some other students in the hallway. Alex recognized a few familiar faces from his classes and introduced everyone to each other. Emma and Dariel both started to calm down as they met other students.

As they settled into their classes, Maddy made sure to get to know her classmates. Emma stuck by Maddy's side, while Dariel found his crush and began to talk to them. Alex started to get comfortable in his classes and begin to make friends. The group met up during lunch and compared notes from their classes. Alex was excited about his classes, while Dariel was relieved to have found his crush. Emma and Maddy were both enjoying the atmosphere of the school, and making new friends.

As the school day came to an end, the group spent some time catching up on their day. Dariel was excited to tell the group about his crush, while Alex talked with Emma about his classes. Maddy was just happy to be with her friends, and to spend some time with Alex. The group met up at the same spot as when they started the day, and headed home. It had been quite an eventful first day. Maddy and her friends were looking forward to the rest of their sophomore year.

The rest of their sophomore year would be full of adventures. Maddy, Emma, Dariel, and Alex would all make new friends, take up new activities, and face several trials. As the year unfolded, their bond would grow stronger and they would all have plenty of memories together. The group would be together through all the high and lows of their sophomore year, and come out as close lifelong friends.

The group would continue their friendship throughout high school and into adulthood. They would share many memories together, both good times and bad. Maddy, Emma, Dariel, and Alex would still meet up on occasion to reminisce about their high school days and catch up with each other.
