SUPPLIES :
Make sure to have a good amount of art supplies.
I recommend using sharp pencils for sure, or then mechanical ones for the lines. And if you don't want it to erase at all get a fine-liner pen. Black ones are recommended. Make sure you have erasers for your mistakes. Any eraser would work but kneaded eraser can also be used as a fidget and can be shaped to be smaller so I recommend that. If your coloring i personally would recommend colored pencils because it won't bleed. Make sure you have several shades of the same colors and don't be afraid to combine them in a drawing. Make sure you have a sharpener for all your supplies that would need one to keep them all sharp. If you have a mechanical pencil have money for extra led ready.DRAWINGS :
It depends on what your drawing but you should always use guidelines for the proportions of things. It's overall harder to draw if you don't. A head for example should be like this. :Depending on the angle you would need to move the guide lines (the cross thing) up, down, or sideways more. When your drawing the neck make sure you add small curves, like this ) ( but not as curvy as the (). When drawing shoulders depending on the pose slant them down. When drawing the torso make a square-ish shape and put a vertical line down depending on the angle. Under that add a rectangle shape that should connect to the squarish shape. Make sure to outline the shape of the curves in the drawing. After that add guidelines for the upper thigh joint and shoulder joins and draw lines for the upper legs and arms. Draw a circle at the end of the lines for the elbow and knee joints and draw another line for the lower arms and legs. Finally for the feet make triangles, and for the hands make vertical rectangles. Start drawing the lines for the arms and legs and make sure they connect to the dots first before continuing them. At the knee point for the legs and a bit of a curve because if you look at a normal pair of human legs there's a curve at that joint. Same with the arms but make that one on the inside of the arm and make it less noticable severaly. Now for the hands and feet. The best thing to do is pull a reference up for it. Make sure the fingers are different lengths depending on which finger and follow the reference pose your using. And make sure to add lines and stuff to the feet for the heel and ankle bone and stuff. Look at a reference for that aswell. When your finished with the mainbody erase every guideline except the face ones, and touch everything up.
FACE AND HAIR :
Your going to want to use the head guidlines for the facial proportions . If the head is looking down, make he ears higher up, and if the head is looking up, make the ears lower. If the face is just looking straight ahead, put them in the middle. Draw out your eye shape and make the bottom of the eye on that middle guideline. Depending on the angle you'll want to make the nose more noticable. If it's a front profile make a small line slightly below the eyes, and if it's a side veiw, make it look as if you can see only part of one of the eyes depending on the way their facing and make the nose a triangle ish shape, curving the side line add bottom line. Add a light dot right by the nose for a nostril. Finally for the mouth. I'd say put it around the circle line because you can't have the mouth to far from the nose nor to far from the chin. Drawing your mouth, you should use a reference but make sure to add a little shadow under the lower lip. Put a few lines for the creases of the eyes around the eyes and make the eyesbrows a little above the eyes. Now for hair, make sure you look at references once again. You'll want it to look sorta like the pencil glided through the paper if it's paper drawings, so make sure to be gentle when first sketching the hair. Make sure you add volume to the hair and when it's done, darken it a bit more.
CLOTHES :
Use a reference, and draw the lines where you see them in the reference for the outfit. Make a light sketch at first and when it's finished darken it. That's really all I can say.WIP
