A week with Izumi

The week didn't end up being so bad. It was actually nice to have Izumi around again. Rei had forgotten a lot of how cute and smart the young boy was. The first night they had band practice. Rei walked up the driveway next to Shougo. The older brother was carrying Izumi on his shoulders. They were laughing about something or other. Rei just smirked at them. He caught Alfie watching them with a raised eyebrow.

"Shougo, take Izumi in and show him the equipment." Rei offered.

Catching Chris from running out to see the new arrival, Rei turned the rest of the band back inside. He folded his arms as he forced each one to meet his gaze, it wasn't at all friendly. Chris fidgeted in his seat, fighting the impulse to actually meet Rei's eyes. The bespectacled man didn't talk until the ginger was looking at him.

"Shougo has a special bond with his younger brother..." Rei began.

"Yeah, next to you, it's all he talks about." Chris humphed.

"Exactly." Rei agreed gazing at them all even more sternly, if that were possible.

"Therefore, none of you will say a word about Shougo and my relationship." He insisted.

"Izumi knows me only as his after school caregiver and his father assistant. Understood?" he demanded when no one spoke.

Chris opened his mouth. Brain gripped his arm shaking his head. Alfie laughed. They turned to look at the former drummer.

"Dude, does Sho, know your intimidating side?" he asked chuckling.

"Not to the exact extent it can get." Rei growled out low.

This stopped any more laughter. The piercing gaze told them all, Rei wasn't taking no for an answer in this matter. He made it perfectly clear that Izumi wasn't to know his brother's sexual orientation until Shougo was ready to tell him. The others sheepishly nodded.

They went down to band practice. Due to having Izumi there, they opened the garage door so as not to harm his hearing. Alfie even found kid sized ear plugs for the boy. Rei made sure Izumi brought his drawing supplies and tablet he had bought him earlier. It was a nice calm night. He learned a lot of the music needed for their first set of songs.

Izumi fell asleep leaning on Shougo's shoulder as they rode the bus home. Rei looked over at them. Shougo gently rocked the younger boy. Rei drew in a breath.

"Shougo, what are we to..." He began.

"We have that futon under the bed." Shougo whispered petting his brother's hair down. He turned to look at Rei.

"We will pull it out and fix it up to show one of us sleeps there." He offered.

"I will sleep there then." Rei offered.

He turned away smiling to himself. He was glad that Shougo had given thought to their predicament. A hand reached out for Rei's chin. Gently, but without leaving any room to stop him, Shougo made Rei turn to face him.

"I said it would appear." He insisted. "You will still sleep with me?" he asked.

Rei smiled at the sad puppy dog look on the teens face. He leaned forward to place a soft kiss to the singers lips. Shougo gripped the back of Rei's neck making him stay longer as he indulged in the kiss.

"Of course." Rei agreed. "But, no sex until he goes home." He insisted.

"REI!!!" Shougo whined loudly. It woke Izumi.

The boy wasn't awake long. Rei lifted him from his brother's side as they got off the bus. Shougo led the way up to their house. The next day was Sunday.
