My phone vibrated and it was from elise boyfriend. Why is he texting me?
I opened his message
"Whr r u? Come to the hospital near by your house. "
"I am on my way to somewhere . Is there any problem? " I asked.
And I received a call and it was him
"Hey ava. Can you come to the hospital? "
"What's wrong is there any problem?"
"Yeah. Elise met an accident." He replied trying to muffle his sobs.
"What? Okay I am coming immediately " I practically yelled.
"Omar sorry to cancel the plan. But I have to go to the hospital. You can just drop me off at my house. I will drive there."
"Which hospital? I will just drop u off there ."
"No it's okay. I don't want to trouble you. "
"This is not a trouble. Now Tell me which hospital. "
"The hospital near by my house."
He u-turned and went by the route to hospital.
"Just drop me here." I told omar
"No I will come along?"
" it's okay just drop me off "
He didn't Say anything But he drove the car to carpark.
He parked the car and got out of the car with me.
We walked to the elevator . After the elevator opened I rushed to the reception ,Omar following behind
"Excuse me may I know which Ward is Ms Elise tompson admitted in?" I asked the receptionist.
"Wait a minute I will check. " she checked on her computer
"She is in the intensive care unit. 3rd floor" she replied.
After thanking her I thanked her.
We both rushed to the elevator. Omar pressed the button to 3rd floor. I was So nervous that I started biting my nails.
The elevator opened. I practically ran through the hallway when I Saw Elise boyfriend Drake.
"Is she Alright?" I asked drake.
"She had lost lots of blood and they can't find a suitable blood for her from the blood bank. As she have 'rare blood which means when more than 200 donors must be screened to find one compatible donor with Blood of that desired type.
"Rare blood? When I had my blood type checked few months should they said I have a Rare blood too. Maybe I can donate "omar spoked
"Really?"I asked hoping that Omar could help elise.
"Yeah I will just ask one of the nurse to do a screening for me. If I match with Elise's blood type thn Why Not. " he replied
"That be great" Drake replied with a relieve tone. "I will just inform the nurse to screen you." Drake Said and left Omar and me alone.
I sighed before walking to omar.
"Thank you " I said trying to smile But failing.
"For?"
"For everything. You could have just dropped me and left. But No. You are here with me right now. Trying to help my friend So we can save her" I said as a tear slipped down my cheek.
"Hey dont cry." He said as he wiped away my tears .
He pulled me into a comforting hug,which was needed. I rested my chin on his shoulder. He rubbed circle on my back which helped to calm me.
"The nurse called you for screening at level 2 room 10 "Drake spoked After clearing his throat which made us pull away.
I give Omar a small smile before he headed down to get his screening done.
I was So nervous waiting for omar. I Hope he will match with Elise blood type..After half an hour The doctor came out from the surgery room.
"We have a donor which matches the patients blood type. After the blood transfusion we can proceed with the surgery." He said before leaving
I sighed relieve. God bless who ever donated. But where is omar?
