That Summersong

It was a quite boiling summersong... tho it might have just been like that due to my feathers... anyhoo! I was participating in clubbox for the first time, needless to say i was nervous, not that much of an err... party guy- but thwok kept whining non-stop begging me to join her and the others! I hardly had a choice! But, I came for my sibling anyway. To put the first hour straight, it was loud, I could barely hear my blimmin' own thoughts! I honestly wanted to just go back to the island... but poewk just had to tease me into meeting new people... but no one really caught my attention enough to talk to. Except for her, of course, I was standing near a table decorated with drink and food free to take, and then my attention went fully to some ethereal chattering with another slightly smaller yellow ethereal, she shone, literally! She was one of the most gorgeous things I'd ever laid my eyes on... her eyes were an astonishing bright rose colour and her voice was like the most soothing music I'd ever heard. I was so struck in awe that i didnt even realise she'd been looking back at me, until she waved, I freaked out and shook my head and let out a... stupid grin, waving back. I could feel my face warming up, I felt... an odd feeling, what was it? I then saw her approaching me. "Are you alright?" she spoke with a smile "uhm... yeah! Im.. okay!" I attempted to act normal, but it seemed like I failed due to her giggling at me... but it didn't feel like she was being mean, she felt kind.

Jeeode: "I haven't seen you before, which island are you from?"

Dwumrohl: "I'm uh, from wublin island!"

Jeeode: "Oh! Blabbit was telling me about wublins! You seem cool!"

...Cool? I've never been complimented by someone on any island outside my home, it felt good...

Dwumrohl: "Thank you... I think you're awesome too?"

She laughed again. But let out a sweet "Thank you!" and sat next to me.

Jeeode: "So what brings you here?"

Dwumrohl: "My sisters dragged me here"

Jeeode: "Ah, that makes two of us! My best friend Dragong pulls me to this place every year, apparently I don't interact with other monsters enough!"

Dwumrohl: "Yeah me neither, i barely meet anyone outside my siblings, father and that... weird blabbit guy"

Jeeode: "Omg, right?! Blabbit is a total crazy pants! He was put in charge of the eggstravaganza costumes this year and made mine a CARROT! I felt so disrespected!"

Dwumrohl: "Dang, I'm sorry about that aha!"

Jeeode: "Hehe, it's alright! I'll make sure I get to make my own next year."

We never stopped talking for the rest of the night, apparently Dragong got kicked out because she tried to set the punch bowl on fire. But that's not any of my business! But soon the night came to an end and the other ethereals started calling her over to the exit.

Reebro: "Jeeode! Come on, if we stay here any longer I'm gonna get a bloody migraine!"

Jeeode: "Oh shut your gob! I'm coming!"

I stood awkwardly as she started to hover away, but then I made a decision.

Dwumrohl: "Hey, wait!"

Jeeode: "Hm?"

Dwumrohl: "Would you like to uhm... maybe see if... y'know, if you're free anytime we could... arrange something like... you know..."

I looked like a fool. But, then she just kissed me! I froze up, it felt so... nice, i could tell how red i had gotten by the amused giggle she let out.

Jeeode: "Maybe Blabbit can help us meet up at water island, does next saturday sound alright?"

I nodded, I couldn't bring myself to speak, but that was the happiest I ever felt. She waved to me as she left, I waved back and then just continued to stand there, trying to process everything... Then Thwok and Poewk teased me about it.
