Yandere serial killer

Mr. Jackson: Thank you for all your help today, Y/n. You can go home early today.

Y/n: Thank you, sir.

I left the office of my boss and began walking to my cubicle to take my things home with me. Normally I would get off of work at 6 pm but since I helped out the boss I get to go home at 4. I would be able to surprise Kaitlyn, my wife. She works from home so she is cooped up in our house alone for most of the day. She is a pretty brunette who is a little taller than I am, but I like my women tall so it doesn't bother me. We met at college where we hit it off and started dating. She was perfect for me, I loved how dominant she was in the relationship and how open she was with me. I stopped my car at a light and saw a woman selling flowers, so I decided to get some to surprise Kait with. I got the woman's attention and she walked over to my car.

Y/n: How much for some flowers?

Vendor: it's only 15 dollars, sir.

I handed the lady 30 dollars and she gave me the flowers.

Y/n: I gave you a little extra for working out here in the sun, thanks for the flowers.

Vendor: Thank you so much, sir! I'm sure your girlfriend will love these!

With that, I drove off towards home and began to think about Kait. I had noticed she had been feeling a little down lately since she got fired from her job, so I had to pick up more hours at work. In the end, we see each other less and I have to work harder so I'm normally not in the 'mood' for anything. But today would be different! I was going to make up for all the time we had missed out on. I pulled into the driveway and parked the car. I took the flowers and walked to the front door, opening it.

Y/n: Katie I'm home!

I took my shoes off and began walking to the living room.

Y/n: Mr. Jackson let me off work early today so I came home to spend it with you. I brought you flowers!

No response. Weird, she was normally home unless she stepped out to go buy groceries or something like that. Well, she would be home soon enough, so no need to worry. Then we could start the rest of the day together.

*rustle*

I heard some noise but I couldn't place where it came from. I looked around to see if something had fallen over. I didn't see anything in the living room, or the closet, I walked into the kitchen but everything seemed fine. I walked upstairs and checked the guestroom and the master bedroom. Nothing, that left the basement. I hadn't heard any more noises after the first one but I had looked around too much to let it go. I opened the basement and looked at into the room from the top of the stairs. Darkness is all I saw, at this point, I was beginning to get scared at what might be in the basement.

Y/n: Hello is someone down there?

I paused to see if I could hear anything.

Y/n: If you're playing a prank on me Katie, come out now. It isn't funny.

No response. I began walking down the stairs. Each step making the floorboards creak and building a feeling of dread in me. Step by step I made my way down and flicked on the light at the bottom of the stairs. Light filled the room and I squinted as my eyes adjusted to the light. I looked around a little and found the culprit of the noise. Two boxes that had fallen off of the shelf they sat next to. I mentally face palmed, I sighed and then I went to pick up the boxes. I hesitated when I was about to pick up the boxes because I noticed my hands trembling. I ignored that and picked up the boxes setting them down back on the shelf. I was about to start walking when I noticed something behind the shelf. It was a dirty rope that stuck out of a hole in the wall. I turned the flashlight on my phone on to see if I could see where it went but I couldn't. I tugged on it and I heard some noises and a portion of the wall next to me opened. I looked and saw nothing so I pointed my flashlight into the room. It was a hallway with a door on the right and a door on the left. I walked into the corridor and opened the door on the right. The light on my phone illuminated the small room. There was a dirty bed, a camera, and a bucket in the corner. The room smelled like 20 animals had died in it the room but I was beginning to think it wasn't an animal. I noticed the bed had dirty straps on it meant to restrain someone's arms and legs. I couldn't stand the smell so I closed the door. I looked at the second door and opened it. I shined my light and saw a less gruesome sight, a small TV with a DVD player sitting on a little table. There were a couple of boxes and a chair. I walked over and checked if the TV worked. I pressed the power button and it lit up. The screen said
