"Hey, Aether and Paimon!" Aether turned around to see Lynette walking towards them. "How has your travels in fontaine been?" Lynette asked. "Paimon thinks it's been great!" Paimon said, while Aether nodded in agreement. "I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it here, anything interesting happen?" Lynette questioned.
They went on to talk for a while more before they had to part ways. Near the fountain they spotted a rather odd looking book. It was a greyish color while the pages had yellowed. Curiously, Aether turned the cover revealing the contents of the unknown book.
Entry #1
Another day another case. It's pretty repetitive but it brings me... joy? I believe that is the word. Anyways, I'm thinking of passing my knowledge and position down to Neuvillette. He most likely won't like me leaving, and I'm sure he'll show his disagreement towards it, but oh well.
"Huh, sounds like this guy was close with Neuvillette!" Paimon said as Aether continued to turn the pages. "The other pages have been ripped out, there's only a name but anyone can have that name.." Aether said.
He was right, in the place where the last page should have been, there was a name. Specifically the name, '[Name]' fancily written in bold black ink. "How odd.." Paimon paused for a moment then continued, "We could ask Neuvillette first, since it seems like this person knows him!"
They both agreed and went to find Neuvillette.
When they found him, he was gazing at a water droplet keychain with a longing look. Aether tapped on the doorframe, alerting Neuvillette of his presence. "Hm? Oh, hello traveler." Neuvillette said while looking up, tucking the keychain in his pocket as well, "Is there something you need?" He asked.
"We were wondering if you know someone with the name [Name]?" Paimon said. Neuvillette froze, his eyes widened a bit from shock. No one said anything for a couple minutes. "..Aether, Paimon." Neuvillette spoke calm and serious, yet there was a subtle shake to his voice.
