I had gotten a text from maylah asking if her and ash could spend the night . I said yes with no questions knowing what kind of business they was in . I went and got the guest room ready for her and ash ,remembering that ash refuses to sleep away from maylah when at my house . I started to think about all the time that had gone by . My baby was a mother figure to her own baby (ash) . The taught of her growing up made me want to start crying . I got a call from maylah saying that she was five minutes away making me get back on track unlocking the door and going to start cooking dinner .
Maylah's pov
I pulled up into my mom's driveway when I started questioning my choices . I ignored my thoughts got out the car and got mine an ash's bags . Ash hugged me before running into my mother's house . I walked in to see ash hugging my mother very tightly, I got my phone out and took a picture before either of them could notice . Ash let go and I walked over and hug my mom .
Ash got the bags and brung them to the room we always stay in when we visited or stayed with my mother. We all sat at the table and had dinner . After dinner ash went upstairs to play his game and I said back to talk to my mother. "how have you been lately sweetie" she asks me . I look around trying to find an answer. " I've taken a role as a mother , I've taken a role as a wife . And that's very stressful but other than that I've been great ." I say looking everywhere but at her so she couldn't see the tears starting to form in my eyes .
